It is genetically by far the oldest in the world and compares very well to the Dingo Dogs of Australia, Singing Dogs of New Guinea, Carolina dog and the Canaan Dog of near east. If we can adopt and train local dogs it would be the greatest deed by far bringing the age old time tested companions back into action. These have guarded villages and engaged with big cats and other terrifying animals/ mammals in past times you know..

They way the pup follows, and looks for directions. Please appeal to all the states with your experience and data, to recruit Indian dogs as police dogs

The Indian Native Dog or the Indian Pariah Dog are some of the smartest, calmest and most expressive breeds. They bark a lot less, are easily trained and are very ferocious protectors. My little Kimi used to fight off seven dogs at a time during territory fights and protect my mom during her walks. RIP Kimi, we miss you

Most intelligent - better than any Scottish dog like "Border Collie" since our native companions carry the additional gene for discipline and trainability along with intelligence. The Ramanathapuram (Ramnad) Mandai for example is *both - scent and sight hound* ! Never found in any foreign dogs and has the height and longevity !

People know nothing about our Indian stray dogs because they don’t properly interact with them from birth whereas when in case of high value foreign breeds they pamper feed and train the dog from the very beginning. Indian stray dogs in a way are best (in Indian villages) but you’ve to believe your luck to get a good one. Because they’ve a huge genetic mixture of wild and tamed ones.
