During World War II, Fred Shiosaki served in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team and participated in the rescue of the "Lost Battalion," a Texas battalion surrounded and cut off in France. In this clip, Fred describes meeting a member of the "Lost Battalion" after the war.

I can understand this man's anger. No, back then a white regiment would not have been sent on a suicide mission to rescue a group of Japanese American soldiers. The 442nd were expendable. Call them heroes afterward and make it harder for their grandchildren to go to college.

Judging from how WW2 veterans dealt with surviving combat, infantry or flight crew, that I knew growing up in the 50s and 60s, probably not. They tended to have similar issues after coming home like Mr. Shiosaki. At least if they weren't veterans of the Pacific theater; even they didn't turn out to be anti-Japanese without exception, and less and less as years passed.
