This is the species that calmed my Arachnophobia a little bit, we had one in our school and the teacher convinced me to face my fear and have it walk on my arm. Makes me want to get one someday they are beautiful and don't seem to be too fast which usually scares me the most in spiders 🤣

My first tarantula is my brazillian black. She's called fluffer bottom and I love her so much. She is so chill. She is taking aaaages to grow though. Its going to be quite a while until she is full grown. Im happy that she will be with me for around 30 years though so the slow growing is a good trade off.

Hi, I love your video, as I'm also a tarantula enthusiast . . . but not to the degree that you are. I think your choice of substrate is interesting. I've often used a mixture of peat moss, vermiculite, sphagnum, and--sometimes--coconut coir. Reptisoil works well for you? I was always concerned about potting soil because of mites and mold, and sand always concerned me because I don't want the openings to their book lungs to get clogged. Do you add isopods ("rolly-polly bugs") to the habitat to control mold and detritus? Any clarification would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.
