Hey Chris, what you did, I have done that too. I flew to Kalimantan to meet my now wife from the Netherlands. It was a crazy 15 hour flight, and 8 hours waiting for the connecting flight, talking about crazy things. I hope you both have a bright future filled with love together. I'm in a long distance relationship too, it's not that far, we live in Italy, I'm near Rome and he is near Milan, it's a 4 hours train travel, unfortunately we don't meet that much for school or work, but when we can we stay 2 weeks or even one month "living" together. It's one year and 8 months now, and every time we met it's how we have been a couple only for some days, it's so beautiful, and watching you meeting with your girlfriend it's so beautiful, I'm literally crying 🖤

I have a long distance relationship too, i haven't met my BF since 7 years ago. He lives in UK. It's impossible for him to go to my country because his visa revoked since 2014 because he and about 40.000 international students in UK wrongly accused cheating on TOEIC test. He was one of those who stayed in the UK to fight the allegations after having his visa revoked, and claims he has done nothing wrong. He welcomes the call from Migrant Voice for students to have the chance to interviewed by the Home Office, he wanna prove his innocence that he didn't cheat at all on TOEIC test. He asked home office to give him a chance to retake a test, but Home Office didn't give a chance to him and another international students. Because of this issue his lives was destroyed, not only his assets stripped away (home,car,restaurant), he also detained and have been separated from his family for several years. He can't go back to his country or move to the other country. He considered as illegal immigrants who have NO RIGHT to work, study, rent a house or access public services. He said to the CNN "We are in an open prison, We can't have a job .. my driving license has been taken away... If you don't have a work right, how will you survive?" I have no permanent place to live and stays.. one week here, one week there with relatives and friends. We deserve better than this, You can't see yourself as CHARITY. It hurts you. It feels like somebody keeps stabbing you in the back." Nothing much i can do for him now :') i can feel all of his pain.. i know how many obstacles he got, how hard his life, and how big his struggle. All i can do is keep praying and supporting him no matter what. i hope he's gonna win this case in court, clear the allegation and get a better life. I've been working and study hard to get a scholarship in UK this year and i really hope i'll get the scholarship so i can meet him. May God gives me a chance and miracle 😇 #Sorry for my super long comment 🙏
