This was a great time. Love how it went from Mission Impossible to wet Jurassic Park to Under Siege/Speed 2 but with sharks. Such a good time. Better than the first; can't wait for a third one!

It was alright, I prefer the first movie I thought the first was better (Kind of spoiler:) This second one didn’t show the Meg enough until the big final scene. The entire first half/over an hour was mostly the humans stuck in the water. I feel like if they showed the Meg more then it could have been better. But the scenes we did get with the Meg like the whole ending, was good and very entertaining to watch. The Meg and octopus scenes were so good. But the movie over all in my opinion is just alright and not as good as the first. The first at least showed the Meg more and it had so much more heart and emotions and just a better story

I think , The Meg 2/the Trench,,,, This Movie is very exciting and worthy for me to recommend to my closest friends, both office friends. or close relatives. The Movie is very entertaining in the beginning and very tense in the last hour. I give 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐stars out of 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐stars for this movie.

I had no idea that this movie was being so heavily created for a Chinese audience. That actually makes me want to go back and see it just to pay attention to that dynamic more. I LOVED the 3rd act of this movie. It was so dumb I couldn’t help but laugh. The first and second half had me dozing off, but the finale made it up for me. 😂

The oddest thing about this is that is was directed by Ben Wheatley who (if you’re a horror fan) you’ll know is a British director who specialises in very strange and creepy cult horror films on low budgets, that mix British kitchen sink drama with a suffocating sense of dread. His films are also sometimes very mysterious and hard to explain, ‘Artsy’ if you will. He has also dabbled in pretty dark comedy. I recommend ‘Kill List’ as a good example of his realistic character interplay and strange atmosphere of dread. It’s a disturbing film, but excellent. I just don’t get the mix of film and director here. It’s like getting Thom Yorke to soundtrack a Transformers movie.

An important thing to remember with shark movies, you’re not going to get “Jaws.” That was lightning in a bottle. You’ll be lucky to get close to “Jaws 2.” These are monster movies. As long as the monster looks cool, the kills are interesting, and it doesn’t wear out its welcome, it’s usually fine.

If you go in with low expectations, you'll have fun. I felt like I was watching 2018's Rampage. The human villiany is this film was extremely flat, just give me my creature feature and leave me alone you know. I saw this in a theather yesterday all by myself. I honestly felt like including the name Meg in the title was misleading. They should of stuck with Out of the Trench or something (they probably couldn't of sold it without the Meg) but still.

I had a blast with this movie. The dialogue was cringy, the jokes almost never hit, but I walked out not regretting the time I spent in the theater. Also, it was the best 3D since Avatar Way of Water in my opinion.

Felt like one those good ole syfy movies and the last thirty minutes were pretty good. But it was jumping from scene to scene.... But don't think about the scenes because they sure will have you wanting to break it down. I enjoyed it with my mom. Btw we both love shark movies, she gave a 7/10 and I gave it 7.5/10.

The novel has a Meg captured in an aquarium, it's supposed to be the aby shark from the end of the first movie. In the book though it's called Angel, not Nagini (or whatever it was called in the movie) and this sets up any further sequels if they decide to follow the novel series. I enjoyed this more than the first one, even though they changed the other monster creature at the end of the movie

You know to an extent you know what you're getting into with this type of film. Knowing I wasn't going to get top tier filmmaking with thus there was one issue that bothered me most. For 2 of the 3 primary antagonists they were killed off without any of the protagonists present so there's no sense of vindication there. Not sure why but this really bothered me.

I really enjoyed it. The 1st one I think is better but this one is still really enjoyable. It’s definitely needs more shark action and less human and a bit more blood and gore, but Jason Statham is a badass and he does some awesome action in this one. I saw it in one of the front rows to add to the experience, which made it better. 7/10

A hugely disappointing monster movie that wastes way too much time focusing on irrelevant stuff that the audience doesn't care about and didn't pay to see, when its premise is the easiest thing to make an awesome, epic monster movie out of. One of the dumbest movies I’ve ever seen. For the first hour I hated it. That entire “walking underwater” sequence was one of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen. The final act though was very enjoyable and I had a blast keeping up with all the chaos that was going on with all the different creatures. I kind of just shut my brain off and stopped thinking so hard about it. Still a very dumb movie, but I had fun with it. Probably won’t ever watch it again though. Also, f- those jump scares, they legitimately pissed me off. 2/4 Stars

You should check out the novel Meg A Novel Of Deep Terror (1997) on audible. Excellent book. I enjoy the first movie 7/10 but the novel is way better. I still haven’t read the second book The Trench or seen this movie yet

I didn't enjoy this movie at all, I felt like I was rolling my eyes at every scene. I was able to watch this at a crew showing a few days before its release, so it meant I didn't have to pay so on a plus, no money was wasted just my time!

Meg 2 was so bad. It was funny and horrible which isn’t a good thing for thrillers. Sharks barely in the movie. They also typecasted the black guy with typical black actor slogans and things to say. That was horrible. Why does the black man have to do the “black slang stuff” it’s sad. Horrible acting and the relationship between Jason and the young girl was at times awkward and pediophile like.
