That's because Kevin Parker admitted that the recorded Tame Impala lyrics are actually gibberish during the section of the song toward the end. He said he hadn't come up with words for that part yet when he was recording the song so he just mumbled in a way that conveyed the emotion he was feeling. So any "real" lyrics there are just an interpretation for the sake of giving it actual words.

He did good but nothing that original - just his voice and an acoustic guitar. These guys have completely reinvented the song by removing the groovy upbeat aspect and replacing it with a melancholy-type lull, really emphasising the resignation of the original lyrics. For that I commend the cover more than Alex's, and subsequently claim that this is indeed not only a better cover but the best I've seen for Tame Impala

Let me preface this with the fact that Tame Impala has been my undisputed favorite band since I found out about them 5 years ago and it’s not even close. Likewise, Let It Happen is my favorite song. This was awesome. Goosebumps. Love how Meg is so reserved and quiet in conversation but completely commanding when she starts up on the mic. One of the best LaV of the year easily. Only thing which could have made this better would have been some strings for added thickness to the back-line.
