Currently going through my dark night of the soul, and Meg’s music is my soundtrack. I’m 36, have Stage 3 Congestive Heart Failure with about a year left. The love of my life and I ended our relationship, I’m constantly at risk of homelessness. The pain only grows. But thank you Lord for giving us Meg Myers. Her music, especially this song, is literally helping me stay alive. Do. Not. Give. Up.

Katie, my heart aches at reading your comment. As far as KZbin comments go, this is “Hello” and “Goodbye”. It is my prayer that you continue to find peace from Meg Myers and other beautiful souls in our world. Know that Jesus loves you. When the time comes, I want you to feel comfort and peace.

God will not give you more than you can handle. You will live longer than one year, you will prosper. This person you cared deeply for. this wasn't your twin. I should be dead gone and ashes due to an extreme case of endocarditis that ultimately traveled through my brain. I just refused to die. and I was right there. I am telling you, you are not going to be gone in a year. you will remain with roof over your head. your belly will be full. you will love again.

You're weak Broken in a motel You blink Tears are falling down Down Down And you're free Free inside your own hell You speak Someone let me out Out Out And I can't stop this pain! It only grow-oh-oh-oo-ohs! Tell me why I always feel alone! And I can't fight this feeling Anymo-oh-oh-oo-oh! Show me what I'm really living for! I wanna love, wanna live! Wanna breathe, wanna give! Wanna yo-oh-oh-ee-oh! But it's hard and it's dark And we're doomed from the start! Gonna yo-oh-oh-ee-oh! I wanna love, wanna live! Wanna breathe, wanna give! Wanna yo-oh-oh-ee-oh! But it's hard and it's dark And I'm falling apart Gonna yo-oh-oh-ee-oh! Your dreams Slowly turn against you Your feet Sink into the ground Ground Ground And, you bleed Naked in a black room You scream Someone let me out! Out! Out! An' I can't stop this pain! It only grow-oh-oh-oo-ohs! Tell me why I always feel alone! And I can't fight this feeling Anymo-oh-oh-oo-oh! Show me what I'm really living for! I wanna love, wanna live! Wanna breathe, wanna give! But it's hard and it's dark And I'm falling apart Gonna yo-oh-oh-ee-oh! "How come that, uh, most of your songs are sad songs?" "Well, uh, you know, I don't think they're all that sad" "Some, I have a few, that are just, that aren't sad, they're like, hopeless" (hopeless, hopeless...) "A totally hopeless situation, and the rest aren't sad, they're just the way it goes, kinda" "I mean, you know? You don't think life's sad?" (Life's sad, life's sad...) "No" "But, from recognizing the sadness, you can, uh, put it aside and be happy and enjoy the happy side of life" I wanna love, wanna live! Wanna breathe, wanna give! Wanna yo-oh-oh-ee-oh! But it's hard and it's dark And we're doomed from the start! Gonna yo-oh-oh-ee-oh! I wanna love, wanna live! Wanna breathe, wanna give! Wanna yo-oh-oh-ee-oh! After I got out & saved by this gifted lady, my life changed as it'd known for final straw. She got me out on December 30, 2014. Since then, I put back my own pieces by pieces, some months were not alright and some were OK. So, I heard next single Motel, I heard it once, just once, I was weak, overwhelmed and cried or probably mostly tears on my face down to cheek. I can't be sure the whole picture but what I'm sure was that Meg Myers did read my life. Today, June 28, 2019 she just released official video Running Up The Hill & chills me mostly of her concept music video. I think I'm ready for my next move, not sure yet but man, it feels good day after day. My journey, only just begun. Thank you all whoever, wherever you are now. Let's give each hug and love, as we are still and always be in, one life

This song is so real... Yesterday I did something hoping to make my life better, but it kinda backfired. And now... I'm just trying to get through it. I don't know what to do anymore cuz "it's hard and it's dark and I'm falling apart." I wanna do amazing things, but how can I? But as I'm writing this I have this voice in the back of my head, a feeling, that's telling me and making me know it's gonna be ok. The voice is small though. The feeling is small. I also wanna say that we're not doomed from the start even though it feels like we are. I think that we're doomed to have problems, but we aren't doomed to fail. We are free inside our own hell sometimes... I am sorta right now, but you aren't permanently stuck in it unless you believe that you are. This song is awesome :3 I've been feeling bad and I come on this channel and Meg your music is real. Anyone reading this, have a good day. I really like her slow swaying dance moves with an expressionless face. I don't know why. I end up mimicking them while watching along with the cool music. Kind of a certain sadness with this one.

Meg Myers, you should do a Q&A video. My questions are, 1. From the moment you first wrote the lyrics for your songs, how long did it take to have them recorded and then have videos made for them? 2. Are you working on another album yet? 3. Are you open to the idea of working with other artists or independent artists? I love your music and videos.

this is the most amazing shit to come along in forever! its heavy and subtle at the same time! its raw and its real...and theirs a fricken cello! she is on a whole other level wen it comes to music right now in 2020!.. she covered a Kate bush song without being derivative..AND LAUNCHED IT INTO # 1 AFTER A YEAR OF CLIMBING THE CHARTS. she is a total badass! and i want her to bear my offspring now! witch is totally optional on her part..lol

This whole album is flawless and makes me wish she hadn't changed her whole style to what it is now. I obviously don't know her, but this version of her seemed more authentic too me and it shows through how powerful it was. The newer stuff is still good, but it just doesn't “do it" for me like this era did.

I had the pleasure of watching this incredible lady perform last year at the Masquerade. She literally held me hand during this song!!!!Not only that, but the band is fucking awesome as well. I was standing right next to the violinist!!!I am so in love with this song, this band, and pretty much all their work in general. Go Meg Myers!!!!!!!!!!
