Since switching to a 32 inch, I mostlty work with multiple snapped windows instead of full screen windows. And then I began thinking about switching to more than 40 inches. It's so much better than 2 or 3 monitors hooked to the PC.

Pixel density or PPI (Pixel per inches) is the same if both monitor and TV has the same resolution and the same screen size.. its not about been a TV or Monitor.. And to have text to be more crisp, is just matter of have a chroma sampling of 4:4:4

I borrowed today the 4K TV we have at this size to test it as a PC monitor and holly nuts!!!!! At 80cm (=2feet 8in) to my eyes (I know that it's too close but it was just a testing) everything was more immersive. Maybe the colours were a bit distorted and the interpolation kicked in but wow, it's like having a cinema in your desk! By the way, I didn't feel that it needed to be curved at this size and distance. Too bad that for PC monitors 43 inches are too niche or expensive.

I have a BDM4065UC 40" for 3 years and still struggling with its inputs (DP or HDMIs) and face black screens most of the time. It doesn't matter whether it is Win7, Win8 or Win10, it works at times (if you got lucky it gives you a windows screen), but you just can't predict it. Most of the time you would get a black screen. I am now trying its D-sub, it may work but it defeats the purpose of having a 4K monitor. I have tried both AMD RX550 and Nvidia 1030 graphics cards, both can support 4k@60Hz but still same black screen. Believe me, I am not alone. There are discussions on the handshakes on the internet.

"why the hell would you want to do that" Send the display port and the hdmi on your laptop, to the display then use pbp to have dual 1080p monitors without any bezel. Use a fire TV as a 3rd source and you've got a news feed/netflix/whatever playing, a spare source for another pc and your work laptop in dual monitor mode across the bottom. I feel like I'm in a command center or something with mine when I do that :)

Awesome review! I subscribed to your channel! I'm considering moving to one big monitor. Currently I have two 24 inch displays. 1 a 2k and another 4k. I do video editing, and photo editing and I am wondering, do I go with a 43inch display to relieve some of the clutter or do I stay with the dual monitor set-up? I'm still up in the air and I've got to give this more time to consider. You're video has helped me to understand my situation better. I may have to find a 43" that has HDR.

I use Scott's Window Resize Utility to force some games to 21:9 or use mods. and is great. The tv also has a very good contrast ratio of 4000:1 and if I lower the brightness to low in games then it looks amazing.

Everything is working exept the volume and power button tried the tutorial here in youtube to fix the issue. Getting issue error says Phillips tv is not compatible with firestick even though phillips were identified as the device. I understand this is not the Firestick issue. I was hoping someone has workaround on this.

Philips and computer monitors doesn't quite fit my perception of a perfect world. Light leakage, ghosting, bad viewing angle, crap Adobe RGB support etc. List of no no's are long. I would buy it just for the screen estate but sitting close to this at a desk painfully reveals the light leakage and dark corners etc. So then it would only serve as a second or third monitor, but then you would suffer big time from the bad viewing angle again. It's just a whole bunch of problems with this thing. Phillips should stick to making traditional TV sets.
