I realized something with the brute minor. So in this set, the brute is a different blue than we've seen on the jackals, elite, and the blue grunt. But when playing infinite, I realized that's actually accurate. The brute minor in game is not the same shade of blue as the Jackals, Elites, and Grunts. Since the latter three are actually manufactured with blue, likely from covenant days, the brute armor isn't the same thing with the hexagon pattern. It's just metal armor with paint slapped on top. So the brute minor is actually more accurate with a different shade of blue.

I know I’m a year late to the conversation, but I will say this: As I recently got back into the hobby, and with an incredible shortage of products in my location, I was selective with my purchases. This was one of my first as it was great for army building. After the set came, and I saw the alternate build, I was interested in making those barriers… so I bought two more. Lol. So I’m total, just below $40, got a platoon of banished, small team of “marines”(?), a gun goose, and a really good terrain piece of the barriers. I built one barrier with the instructions, and the other inverted so they make a fortified wall together. The visors of all three “marines”(again?) were terrible… so going to whip out the paints and get started on that again

I like how they just SLOWLY update the mongoose set. And swap the characters lol, this set has some amazing figs. Can't wait to pick this up in target when it releases to stores.

A great review thanks , I was lucky enough to get a couple of these this week , amazing as I live in the U.K , I went ahead and built them up this morning . Very pleased with the set overall and hope to get some more , agree with what you say on the whole . The marine is the biggest disappointment , mainly due to lack of paint detail , and I do not much like the helmet design anyway even with better detailing , I hope they produce some more marines in the same colour scheme but with the standard removable open face helmet design in other sets to compliment these and the Banished garrison marines.

@@fortunecookieentertainment2392 Through Amazon USA , I have been trying all sites I know sell Mega daily for weeks and on this occassion I came across them , they are not showing available at present , I paid a few pounds more than retail price plus tax and postage , came to just over £50.00 for the two , whereas someone on ebay uk is selling them for £50.00 each , he sent me a offer for them at £45.00 each but I declined .

The jackal snipers in Halo 3 had carbines because the beam rifle snipers in Halo 2 did too much damage. But what is a carbine doing in an Infinite set?

It is from the Sniper. When you buy the HH Marine Sniper, you may end up with gray print on the helmet or brown print.

The carbine in this set actuall is a slightly altered mold. It's missing the bottom flap that goes under the fore-arm. Makes it at least a little easier to rotate it in the hand, but not by much. Hope to see it more in the future, tho.

Jackal Snipers would use Needle Rifles and Carbines besides the Beam Rifle, Focus Rifle, and Stalker Rifle. Ofcourse Infinite only shows the Stalker Rifle but they did have more guns to choose from

It's weird because the carbine is not a weapon in halo infinite. They should have made the weapon sniper jackels use in the game which is the stalker rifle

I kinda like the banished looking like a rag tag force more than a actual army. I dont know just how I feel. Especially since they just blew up in size which seems random. I dont know I’ve been out of the lore. Edit: Halo 3 Jackal Snipers use carbines.

The Banished have always been a fairly large force and they keep hiring on more random groups of Elites, Jackals, Grunts, etc which would account for the growth in their army

I'm really liking the set aside from the most basic, barebones marine we've gotten so far, no shoulder pads & just visor printing? As far as this set goes that marine is the only thing that has printed detail. Idk the marine in this set is just not the best from what we've gotten from past sets, could've used a new mold, or just another basic UNSC marine with the removable helmet but with more color swaps like the marine in the garrison pack. Idk just a rant I have but the rest of the pack is really good!

Yea that helmets lame, my plan is to switch out the helmet for the infinite getaway marines heads because I don’t like the helmet but I also don’t like the size of the infinite getaway marines so at least I can pop and swap to make marines I do like

this is definitely one of the worst sets for Halo Infinite that includes the Razorback & the Wasp Onslaught the figures r okay, but only the Brute Captain & the Brute Minor are the one 2 that are okay.
