I never got past the giant slug stage when I was a kid, it's nice to finally see what's behind the door!. This game and Insector X were 2 of my best on the megadrive .

When i first bought my Japanese megadrive. Had a handful of games this master piece, Thunderforce 3, Golden axe. God it was amazing. It felt at long last the arcade had come home. The Amiga I had before was sold soon after. The 16bit consoles still remain the best in my opinion.

Seems like my story in Portugal. Bought the mega drive and the first 3 games i had were thunderforce 3, golden axe and insector x...and not too long after i rented GnG. I assume at many places in 91 or 1992 those were the most available titles

But's suffer from slowdowns and less enemies on Screen. The major chalenge was jump on platforms. It lacked the action from Ghouls And Ghosts.

Nobody should feel bad for being a dummy, in fact that's impossible not to be in such a complex universe. : ) I don't even think handofstand is correct, because they usually write "TAS" when they use tools.. and the gameplay is not all that great either..

Megadrive my favourite console in many ways. I like nes and ps1 for the classic games on those systems. Megadrive caught me and my 17 yr old mates on the hop.Computer games were for kids until the 16 bit era brought arcade standard shit into the home.The public always get what the public want.This is an early example

Lay off the crackpipe, the X68000 version is basically arcade code, as arcades at the time operated off the same guts found in the X68K version. The X68K version stood at the top of the mountain for home consoles, the rest were way down the mountain, staring in awe at the X68K version's triumph.

Seems more harder than its snes counterpart. But that game has little over exaggerated diffuculty imo. Yeah, its hard. But it aint "brutally hard" or anything like that. Or if you feel that way it must be because you cant handle or get used to the "floaty" controlling and the double-jump. This one seems much more fast paced and hectic though, i love how different these versions are from each other. Allready ordered a decent shaped boxed one for my mega drive. I gotta say that Mega Drive has some shit that you never saw on snes, just look at Loki here... Now thats how you do a 16bit satan! Snes version had this saturday morning cartoon baddie, he makes appearence here also, that looked like evil forest spirit...

+Schwarzer Ritter This game is considered the easiest in the series. First game is the hardest, SNES version is second hardest. Gokumakaimura Kai on the PSP (aka revision 2 of Ultimate GnG, without all the fetch quest stuff, plays like a traditional GnG title) is pretty stiff in difficulty as well, especially loop 2. Goku Kai really has frustrated me the times I've played it on my PSP.

You need at least 6 pairs of eyes and four brains to get through the first level of this game. It is a full on test of human abilities.

You could get stuck in parts of the game if you picked up crap weapons, like having the sword at the giant caterpillar boss where you could not hit the weak points.

Turbografx had better animation because it used more memory then what capcom used on genesis version. But genesis had better graphics and music sound effects etc.

I've never played a bad version of this game - the C64 version has probably the most disturbing and hellish soundtrack, the Megadrive is closest to the original and the SNES version added some cool stuff. Those were the days!

The NES game was a port of the arcade game of the same name, and the NES version was made by a third-rate developer that made shitty ports. Of course this is better than the NES game
