I think the exodus of western brands is a blessing. When I will visit Russia in the near future, I imagine I'll do much more shopping of clothes compared to other places because the brands are different but still stylish.

The sweater with the cats was a very good choice, Lisa 👍. The mall itself and the stores and fashion look fine to me. Not every shopping center can be as upscale as GUM. The bridge is kind of neat and the mall looks like a big, comfortable place to hang out in Winter.

All the malls are pretty great, they're big and they have everything that you need and want the brands are fine and high quality and I doubt if anyone misses Western Brands and this is coming from a girl who came from being a mall teenager in America in the 80s, I know a good mall when I see one and there are plenty here!

If you get a jacket with a liner you get two layers and gives you two fall jackets one for rain and one for cold while in the winter it gives you an under layer and an over layer. 100% can't get better than an outer layer that is water and wind reistant/proof. You are from Russian/FarEast though so I don't need to tell you how to dress for cold when you are from the great expanses of Siberia. Surely someone will think to smuggle in boxes of Levis and coca cola. Bear in mind that basic clothes in fashion and dress are seen as "business casual conservative" and area great such as black sweaters because they can work with anything and are often adaptable. For wool sweaters though its the utility, we call it "the ugly sweater" in the west. Its not how it looks per se but how well it works that is important. Great Video work here.

'Blind chicken' as a name for a shop makes sense in a funny way. A bit like the joke 'What has seven eyes and can't see? Three blind mice and half a sheep's head'. As ever, you look just right, so glamorous. It was interesting to see Burger King and the other brands still there or changed very little. The sanctions are aimed at weakening Europe as well, because we needed Russian energy. They've certainly done that. It seems they haven't harmed Russia much😂

❤ Hello from Scotland That’s a great looking shopping mega mall….that would put many in western Europe & UK to shame, and the closest to size of that one would be in Southern area of Los Angeles, CA, within a county of Hawthorne with a Mall that has suffered recently some major retail store closures due to major franchises have either gone bankrupt or downsized due to a severe rise in the cost of living. Do not worry about losing the western brand names, as I’ve found lately that many of the average & top brands their quality has dropped in the last few years and prices haven’t dropped instead rised to maintain profit margin over the manufacturing costs that have jumped due to all the western sanctions against have ALL backfired massively. Even Germany’s long term major employer of Volkswagen has announced it is relocating its entire manufacturing facilities out of Europe to cut costs, and that had replicated across of all of Europe & UK are all feeling massive rise in the cost of living. The cost of quality branded German made trainers, etc, or running shoes range between £100 to £170 which is nearly $200 US dollars, and that’s due to German manufacturers charging more lately or cut quality to maintain lower prices for consumers in the end. I love watching all your videos as they’re both entertaining &. Informative!

I like your fashion stories very much. The blue coat and the kitten sweater are very fashionable. However, I was shocked by the price of clothes in Russia. They are very expensive. Moscow-Russia, Istanbul-Turkey, Shanghai-China are emerging as new fashion capitals compared to New York, Paris, and Milan. Just watched a video where in Wyoming, there are people making $22 an hour, and are homeless. Here we got Russians making on the average about 800-900 a month and this is their lifestyle. Not bad! Though these clothing prices are a bit insane.

@nametbd233 Oh we have public transportation in the large cities. It just often smells like urine. I live in Portland, and thought I would take the local but home as it dropped me a block away from my home. The pungent body odor with whiffs of urine was overpowering. And this is suppose to be the nice part of town. What's seriously amazed me was that the bus driver didn't seem to notice. Or just simply got used to it. 2..5x that of Russia? More like 5x the cost. When was the last time you went to the doctor on a routine visit and that cost you $16,000 dollars? You miss me thinking I'm joking but I had a friend going because he has rheumatoid arthritis and he ended up having to go to an emergency room because there just wasn't simply anything else available. That visit cost him $16,000 did I mention there is these wonderful things called copays on top of your insured price? He did have someone insurance but he still had to pay almost $900 just for the visit So the cost differences here are extremely out of whack to what most people consider normal. The only people that truly get free healthcare Are those that are not even American citizens Believe it or not. It's crazy but yeah that's how it goes. Veterans also get decent healthcare but I do say that it's pretty much a crapshoot lately for me personally it's almost a year Before I get to see a doctor luckily I was able to get in with private care physician and that's only 8 months away

Of course if a retailer tries to continue selling certain western brand names, they probably have to source their goods from another 'friendly' country and then import from there. That extra layer would explain the higher end prices and a consumer would have to decide if it's worth it.

I don't know if this is true or not. When I was a teenager, they said that the police make criminals crouch like this, like their legs get numb and they can't get up and run fast. So the gopniks train their muscles and legs to escape from law enforcement agencies.
