Mega Man 7 SNES speedrun

First 3 mins are the intro and it sucks!
Done on my slightly yellowed snes console with an original mm7 cartridge, delivered to my massive toshiba crt tv by a 3rd party s-video cable.
This game can go down to low 41 if you're a god. I'm only a mortal, so I'm keeping this time for a bit. I'm not happy at all with how some parts went (slash man refight), though, so I may come back?
This is the fastest run of mm7 done on snes atm. The JP version is faster, but there's 40 seconds of variable time in it that is not in the US version.
I have a run on gamecube anniversary collection that's faster than this, but the strategies are outdated and the quality of play is worse. AC saves a lot of time over snes because of differences in text speed and lag. It's hard to compare them.

Funny fact of life: a lot of speed runners of the early nes and snes Megaman games got to be that good because Mom or Dad would only allow them to play a limited number of hours a day. Hence you became good. I know. Happened to me with Megaman 2, 3, this one, X and X2. I know them by heart.

I would like to know how to slide and jump fast properly, I don't know if there is a way better to do, the way I do I hold diagonal (down + forward) to slide then I release down and I jump, but pressing this way all time hurt a lot my finger... Can you tell me how do u do?

LeandroBR07 I use both of my thumbs for button presses. I roll my thumb between diagonal (down + forward) and forward for jumping. I think letting go of the dpad and repressing it hurts the thumb more than just moving the thumb around!

ion12 I'm learning this game, but this technique is so hard I think, I'm practicing Cloud Man stage every day and I can't beat this stage, I always fall in a pit in some point, mainly in the rain part. :O

No idea.. for all I know it could be off the actual console That said, if your computer is too slow for megaman, your hardware sucks
