I thought this question a lot in the past and when i refighted him i got the answer: 1-Never, NEVER go straight forward against him, stay in the initial spot you dropped when you entered his room, this will be your best option against him. 2-Fireman’s AI it’s incredibly predictable: he will run wherever he wants everytime, but when you shoot at him with the megabuster he’ll immediately stop running and then he will shot you with his weapon. Remember: he will shoot if you shoot first. 3-Once you’re on the spot you just need to follow this pattern, remember, don’t move: I-shoot II-Jump from his flames III- shoot again IV-jump V-Repeat And that’s it. O O O O O O O O O O O O O O O Yeah, i’m bored.

I remember playing all the original megaman games as a kid when they were new and I grew up with an Telstar pong console and Atari so when we got a NES I wasn't that good at some of the games, like castlevania lol. Loved them but never beat a damn one back then and megaman was the same. I loved how they looked and played entirely different than earlier more primitive consoles I was use to but damn they were so hard for me back then. Lol I was in my single digits when I played this one especially. But later my dad bought a game genie and suddenly it was even more fun to play these games. I know it was cheating but back then I didn't care. Lol. Seeing this guy play through all the bosses with no damage is just amazing. 😊

1) Fire Man is actually easier than this. You just have to stand still, wait for him to fire, then you shoot ONCE and jump straight up at the same time. Then just keep doing that. There's no reason to jump over him, making it harder. 2) I can't believe people STILL think Yellow Devil is one of the hardest bosses ever created. He has one pattern and one pattern only. Understand that, and the worst thing about him is the threat of falling asleep. The most overexaggerated "difficult" boss in the entire series. 3) For Copy Mega Man, you can stay in the bottom left corner. Don't shoot, and you can see that Copy always fires in certain locations. You can use that knowledge to your advantage and kill him easily without ever leaving the corner. This is legitimately the easiest set of bosses in all of Mega Man.

Two questions: Why does the final boss have a black backround? How come you can still see the wily machine and yellow devil's outlines after they "blow up"?

The NES had technical limitations when it came to the number and size of onscreen sprites. The "large" bosses are constructed by using background tiles and scrolling functions, that's why the black background is necessary, otherwise parts of the box would blend into a tiled background and things would look funny. Never thought I'd be answering a 5 year old question, but there's a first time for everything.

They actually had reasons as to why the bosses were weak against each other's weapons (probably one of the first examples of a game having detailed lore about the story, the setting and game mechanics, once more proving that Mega Man was way ahead of it's time) like Ice Man being made out of highly conductive material, but I can't list them all off the top of my head. +Epichill He responds to what you do, so you have to time your shooting appropriately. If you spam your weapon, he will spam his. A simple way to defeat him is to never touch the d-pad. Let him walk toward you until he fires. When he shoots at you, shoot at him and jump straight up to clear his fire. Then just keep jumping and shooting like that, and he'll keep shooting under you. Once you get the timing down it's very easy. The video shows a really risky way to deal with him.
