there is actually a way to keep the mining holes dry, it's just very expensive: place ahead of the drills a layer plus a single line, sticking out of the edge, of deployers set with cobble. they will fill any empty space ahead of them, creating a dry hole with sturdy walls. just be careful when you pull up the setup i do not know if the deployers keep working when retracting the platform but it works brilliantly on a rail setup, even in the nether

Personally would've used magma blocks... Serves same purpose as campfire but doesn't lag you to death with particles.

I recommend looking into occultism for your storage problems. It even has remote access and if the chunk's loaded you can access it anywhere you go!

Honestly, why not use a gantry set up. One for x and z so you can just use a sequential gearbox to move the machine 16x16 instead of having to rebuild the piston to move it. Also I have noticed its the speed you have for it. Mine is slow to lower I think maybe 1 fan of top of head so 4su for lowering it. By the time it hits the next block the obsidian is fully formed and I don't really need to deal with clean up. Plus I added mods that I felt would be nice to have for aesthetics/ more automation possibilities using create only.

A lil tip, a cart contraption miner works way better in the nether as it can easily be infinite!

Here's an idea: Instead of breaking the piston each time, add in a second one that's meant to move the piston towards it and the machine to reset the mover-piston. You know, like how is done in slimeblock flying machines.

oh cool a chunk bore! I tried making one like that, never thought to make it have a top and bottom half though- that makes moving it much easier. If I remember correctly there's a block that acts like a toggleable sticky block, I think if you used those on the ends of two mechanical pistons in opposite directions, you wouldn't have to break the mechanical piston every time you wanted to move it.

Sooo… You can make an auto gold farm at your current tech level: Cobble --> Double crushing wheels = Sand Sand --> Washing = Clay Clay --> Smelting = Hardened Clay Hardened Clay --> Crushing Wheels = Red Sand Red Sand --> Washing = Gold Nuggets …also, if you make a Zombie Piglin farm, that'd give you gold, and I'm pretty sure the Buddycard book says that they also give neather packs.

I personally refrain from using an automated mining setup because I'm losing material (the whole thing on the metallurgy questbook chapter), I would just use the infinity build wand with a destruction core to clear all the rocks and redundant blocks, use the infernal chalice(reliquary) to clear lava sources and dump all the lava into a nullifier(thermal)(you could spill it to your lava source if you're still short of 10k), and then mine the valuebles with a tinker's construct vein hammer and a silky upgrade. Once above ground place all the metal ores down and mine them with a TC hammer and the Luckiest upgrade, and grind the crushed ore with all the other gems and grindable ores. Dump the dusts in a smeltery for max output. P.S. if you're short on sand you can just grind cobble into gravel and gravel into sand. Chapter 2a has an igneous extruder which is basically an automated cobble-gen.

…I may have made RMH* Lagmaker as my first ever Create quarry - it was a combination tunnel bore, quarry, and cozy, train-sized, house. It came with a bank of levers at the front that controlled an inchworm drive behind the tunnel bore head, and another lever at the back of the living space that ran the quarry drills. I can't actually remember why I stopped playing that world, but it was partway through building a drawer based storage system at the back that hung down into the ravine it carved and would automatically have the quarry output shifted into it. I have since made several more bases based on RMH Lagmaker, with a few improvements, but I keep on abandoning them - often when I get frustrated that I can't place a bed or a Nether Portal on them. Also, they never actually caused lag, which surprised me. *Rediculous Minecraft House

It would probably extra uninteresting to experience because of how slow things move in block form, but I think it would be neat to have a player-drivable mining rig that goes where you want it to rather than being limited to a discrete pathway. Could be perfect for a geonaut type of play, burrowing through endless cave worlds.

if you want/need a lot of gold there is a sapling that grows a pretty big tree, the sapling is gold (i can't remember the name of it sorry). the leaves of the tree can drop gold nuggets. make a big old farm of them using a minecart or whatever to chop trees and you got unlimited gold. i would recommend at least 9x9, it will generate so much gold you wont even know what to do with it all.

I really hate the randamonium ore. I ended up getting a Netherite chest before even automating Algal Blend. Seems super strange to include something that so break progression, in a pack all about progression.

You can also just deactivate the randomium ore mod in curseforge, the modpack will still work just fine. You can even turn it on again later without a problem. There is only a KubeJS error message when you load into a map, thats it

Hi please help. I copied this design but my rope pulls doesn't my drills down. I have made sure I used the secondary linear but I can not for the life of me get it to work. I have also tried with the creative motor
