The only down side I had with mine is the foot pegs are too short and don't stick out far enough. I cut mine off and added the foot peg mod from Go Power Sports for their other mini bike. It moves them forward and I welded the original foot pegs on farther out! Much nicer for an old fart like me! I'm 70!

I have a razor pocket mod that I stripped down and a leaf blower 2 stroke that fits nice under the seat, just need to take a weekend and make it all work but then I think I may as well put a 212 on the footboard and some pegs on the front tire since I don't think the leaf blower engine will ever get me rolling well enough for mini mayhem

how does that work . i dont think those engines have a lot of torque ( of course there is some exeptions there is some pretty big chainsaws out there).
@jimbagle.3939
@jimbagle.3939 Жыл бұрын
I did this with a 72cc concrete saw motor. You're going to need a jack shaft and really focus on gearing to make it work. Chainsaws don't make power until 7, 8, x1000 rpms. Food for thought. I got to 31 mph with an 18" rear wheel.

i have a coleman CT200U-EX i got for 450 dollers brand new. tsc store wanted 999.00 for it but i got it cheaper because an idiot brought it back after taking it apart trying to do a modify youtube rigg on it hahaha. but ive welded all points to make it super strong and now its a logg dragger on my tree jobs. and what not. i think it has a 196cc engine. but the 2 shaft bearings that go from the engine to the jackshaft first go bad fast. sounds like sprocket teeth popping but isnt that. im sure yall dont even use the jackshaft in the center before the main wheel chain starts. but i do for my heavy pulls. im able to get 200+ pound loggs sliding fast enough for the clutch to not burn up and lock in just in time see. you have to understand slipping . thats all. ammount of rpms till it locks in see. everybody tried to tell me il burn it up. i laughed at them . and welp the bearings went first cause there chinese like the hole bike is basiclly these days. any way. love your videos and hope i can post my bike soon and show yall what ive built. im not done with it yet. its going to be a generator as well.

I owned one a few years ago. I really miss it. It was a stage one on the stock engine, which I felt was more than adequate. I'm sure it's leaps and bounds better with the Tillotson. I just recently sold my Coleman CT200U....it was a great bike, but the higher riding position and no suspension destroyed my back 2 weekends ago. The MM212 would not have hurt me like that. Sadly, the MM212 kit is out of my budget, so my kid and I found a neglected Suzuki QuadSport 250 stupid cheap, and we are restoring it and going through the engine together. No more shattered spines for this ol' boy! A tip about the MM212.....the stock V-tread tires are junk. Low traction, high wear. Kenda K290 Scorpions in either stock size, or 20x8-8 are supreme. Check out the reviews on them....they're long-wearing and work good on pavement too. The 20 inch tires will give you 2-3mph more top end, and even more of a nicer ride! Excellent and thorough video as always, boys!

Other bikes in my stable include a 83 CT70, a 73 Z50, a 1975 Suzuki RV90. I have a few RV 125s I'm going to steal the front end off so I can get front brakes on my BT2OOX.

I got a compete frame from princess auto with chain drive for 150 bucks. Coleman DB 200 clone. No front brake no jack shaft no engine. Was a return on clearance. It was missing a seat and the chain guard. I got two seats from go power sports. It was a good deal. But the shipping and boarder fees made it cost almost as much as the frame. Lol. I got a electric start 212 engine a few months later at princess auto too for 150 bucks. Gotta get it all together in a few days. Summer fast approaching. Going to rip up the logging roads. Thinking about getting the front brake kit from go power sports. Just wish they had a better shipping option for over the border…….

My son bought a mega Moto 212 a month ago. We bolted a stock Ghost Engine on it and broke the motor mount(engine plate)welds in less than 2 weeks. It's at the welder right now getting reinforced because most of the welds didn't have penetration. So I'm not sure about how well built these things are. My suggestion is to have it looked over by a welder before you even start putting it together. I can't blame go Powersports for how it arrived to the house but let's just say it went through hell and we had a lot of touch-ups before we even got started.

@20:16, My cousins and their dad sound like folks living East of the Appalachians from Asheville, NC with the accent that they have. I'm from South of the Eastern Shore in Virginia, I've never had an ear for it and often I've had trouble with communicating with them and early on I've chosen to learn to speak "properly" so that no one has trouble with communicating with me. This may seem controversial, but the thing really about the Southern accent to my understanding of how things worked then from my History Requirement in college is from the plantation owner's kids learning to speak from slaves who worked in the house taking care of them as they were learning to read and write the language themselves at the same time.

Are you guys going to come out with a swing arm kit like you did for the mega moto 80 for this one? This thing with full suspension would be insane.

Well God bless America. Radio Shack still exists. This video was already good but knowing Radio Shack is still around made my day. I'm going to craigs list to see if I can find an old Realistic stereo.

What are your thoughts on a torque converter and a jack shaft working together in unison for extended longevity and limited stress on the drive terrain configurations on the bikes I do understand that,that’s extra moving parts. But I have come up with a configuration that would eliminate that and the extra weight.

easy trick for the kickstand, put the spring on without the bolt in, then pull the kickstand into position and then put the bolt in. makes it much easier.

I didn’t get a chance to race Charles on his Dirt Hog with King Mini, but maybe next year! Would love to run King Mini around the Cars and Cameras Grand Prix!
