Lol, my son and I just had our hooks bent today. We are in Central Florida, 4/5 lb fish, common. We use 15/20 lb floor, so thank you, thank you. We visit your area in summer and will call for guide. Lake Glenville n Hiwassee.

Yeah man, megabass hooks are great hooks with super light line and open water but when you’re around grass and structure you gotta switch to the Gamakatsu SS 6! They’re stout! Hope to get y’all on the water!

12# fluoro, 7’ medium casting rod with a dinky little slx baitcaster and I had to watch countless monster hyrbrids come off yesterday due to the hooks bending out. So frustrating!!

You don't have to change the hooks adjust your drag , I've caught 10lb striped bass on those megabass hooks.

I just gut-hooked a fish on my lucky craft last night...I could not save him :(. He swallowed it so deep the treble was wrapped around the bones of the gill plates/skeletal rods

Hi, what split ring would you recommend for something robust going again big fish barramundi/barracuda?

Not sure how big those fish you get but say avg 10lbs..On avg or for hard fighting fish..at least #3's rings with a 40lb rating for fish over 6lbs...for say 15lb to 35lb fish go with #4's with 55lb rating or so. Imo if they're around 40lb fish or bigger go with #5's. The 5's might be too big for good action on a 110 Megabass.

Searching for a solution, I stumbled across this video. I lost a 5 pounder last night and freaking from treble hook was all bent and one of the hook points completely failed and snapped off. I’m replacing all of the hooks immediately

Depends on lakes. Our lakes are deeper, so the +1 tends to out perform
