Hi Everyone! It's been an awesome ride. We all really appreciate everyone's support. A few things: Please do not feel bad for us/me. This was an incredible journey and I think I speak for the entire team when I say I am VERY happy it happened. Instead, let's all celebrate how far we actually got. And who knows, maybe the robot sells for enough to try again? :)

Next try... aim for a more easy cheap to mass produce maintain and repair Mech. that was Prime eagle biggest flaw, that and the fact it moves are kinda slow, but all big machines stuff has that problem. I hope this isn't the End, but just a turn around in the history. P.S.: just remember to avoid Loans.

you fucked up at the japan fight you shouldn’t have staged it
@entity-hp3xw5 жыл бұрын
Damn... Im so sorry. I am too young to have any experience with debt, but making a huge robotics company from loans was probably a struggle. One thing I can see is that you are all extremely skilled, and had a goal: to make mech fighting a real thing. Hell yeah, that would be awesome, but in the end, this happened. I hope you succeed at whatever endeavors you persue, and maybe, one day, consider picking up the subject again. Either way, good luck, and the best of wishes. Could you leave the channel up, though? I may want to see your battle with Japan again.
@nicholasshaw35765 жыл бұрын
It would be cool if the hacksmith KZbin channel were to buy this. They are working on the Power Loader from the movie Aliens. It would probably speed up the building process. (Also I am really sorry that Battle Bots didn't work out, but hopefully you can pay off the debt, and who knows maybe someday try this again). If you were to make another robot someday though (which I have no IDEA how engineering a robot works or any engineering for that matter) I would probably try to make something a little smaller, and faster. But you are an inspiration to people who have always wanted to see bots fight each other.

The problem with your comparison is that two megabots fighting like battlebots would result in millions of dollars of repairs. Also it would endager the pilots. This would make it imho not as interesting as battlebots, but it might still be really cool.

Ok. you need the money. But please, share the technology, do it open source. The more people you can access, the more possibilities to refloat the concept.

Technology? Its a couple computer controlled excavators stuck together.
@GABM19835 жыл бұрын
@@NyeMechworks Yeah right. The simplest and easiest thing to do in the world. So easy that only 2 or 3 people worldwide have done it. Let's see, do you understand what I said? You saw how was all the development and construction of the mech? Apparently there are people who have a big mouth and talk because it is free ... Sos un pelotudo.
@NyeMechworks5 жыл бұрын
@@GABM1983 As impressive as the Eagle Prime is, it cannot be denied that it simply didn't meet market demand. This is proof why so few people have done it: it simply isn't economically viable. Which is why I am building (and nearly finished) an economically viable mech that any hobbyist can build in their garage. Megabots got the giant robot thing down, but they didn't get the competition thing down at all: to have a competition you need competitors WILLING to break their machine and SAFELY, and they won't if it cost them a million bucks and a giant chainsaw in their face
@GABM19835 жыл бұрын
@@NyeMechworks Aha, I watched your channel and your mech. PVC pipes? Really?? Cheap aluminum sheet ?? That thing doesn't even have 1% of the Eagle Prime engineering. You have no shame, you come to say that what they did in megabots is just a couple computer controlled excavators stuck together and your "mech" is basically a glorified car for allegorical parades. Do you think that thing will get the attention of investors? You talk about market, competition and demand, but your "mech" does not reach something you can call quality. Megabots got where you're not even going to get.

It was a good effort, but the end results were a bit...underwhelming tbh. The technology just isn't quite there yet to make it truly exceptional and spectacular. Those things need to be a LOT more mobile, nimble and reactive to be exciting. Or use actual destructive military grade weaponry. I mean, what good is a supposed "combat robot" when i can easily be beaten by simple construction machinery like a bulldozer or a wrecking claw? In the end, it was just a novelty item and the novelty wore off pretty quickly after the pretty tame and lame battle against the Japanese robot.
@TheActionBastard5 жыл бұрын
The Japanese one was actually far more interesting functionally. It had more movement and was less a bulldozer converted into a Guntank (oh gundam I love you) but it just was not at all sturdy enough to do any sort of hand to hand. Maybe a battle based around paintball/ranged weaponry instead of what they actually ended up with. I felt like the American company really just cheesed their way to victory. "hm. Enemy robot is X size. Ours will be 4x that. Problem solved." and that was never going to be a good recipe. Should have been weight class limits so the Americans had to do something far more complicated like the weird japanese blacksmith guy did. Respek to Kurobyashi.

why would they? they're VFX artists and not engineers

Even if they did, they'd have no place to store it (they couldn't even buy that one dude's bus and they had legitimate ideas for how to use it.)
