It is "Vortex". I've always thought that the main riff of "Never Walk Alone" sounded very similar to the main riff from "Vortex".
@Britishwolf897 жыл бұрын
I think the riff in Never Walk Alone is actually the original version of the Vortex riff but they changed it for the album. It's not the Vortex riff from Cryptic Writings he's playing if you listen closely. Dave has been known to use riffs and variations he wrote years ago in newer albums.

This is why most bands were broke even they sold millions. Their demands before even producing anything were ridiculous. Studio rent was roughly $100-$500 per HOUR. Now imagine, building in up from scratch. Not just a recording studio/room, but basically a recording camp!! All in one WAREHOUSE...live there, play there, recreations. Then...the machines..??!

Man it's funny I learned holy wars way back in 1990 I think I thought what difficult song but just genius still isn't easy to play a friend of mine told me he new a bunch of megadeth years later he was a blues rock older guy could not play fast ge hated the speeds I played at I thought no way he can play megadeth he started playing all these like super cool rock riffs I ask what it was he said megadeth I was like no way thats megadeth had a augment then he put on the c.d and sure enough it was fucking megadeth this very lol I was extremely disappointed being hardcore thrash teenager but I decided to learn the songs and I was just so amazed how great the riffs were and the solos fit so perfectly doing 2 different keys in a solo it totally took my playing in a new direction instead of just being extremely fast and aggressive in every song I played this album helped me understand music on a totally different level
