In 1986, Dave said, and I have never forgotten: "I'm in this buisness for the same reason Megadeth is in this business, and that's because of attitude, integrity, and music."

I just got off tour with Kings of Thrash as their opening band and they were a blast to be with. I've known them for years and it was just the greatest pleasure to hang with them night after night.

i agree with ellefson on risk, i love that album, same with th1rt33n funny how he owns the heroin part, i had him sign a peace sells photo and he laughed and mentioned how high he was in the photo man thats some real dedication from the guy who did rust in peace and had all the tapes hung up got it done in a week really cool to hear how public enemy no1 came together, i love that song really cool to hear all of the megadeth lore from ellefson when he talked about the protestants and catholics in ireland it made me think of how holy wars was made and then ellefson mentioned it i guess i really know my megadeth lore cool to hear ellefson likes nirvana, i guess thats another guilty pleasure of his lol also cool to hear about what happened when grunge took off and limp bizkit came in cool to hear the story of how ellefson moved to hollywood to link up with mustaine and start megadeth, i knew about the initial story of the cigarettes and beer but cool to hear the inside stuff from ellefson, i also heard from ellefson the first song he heard mustaine play was devils island

Megadeth isn’t the same without Dave’s bass. Still great, but Dave brought that extra magic to the sound.

I can’t stand grunge music at all. When megadeth came out with youthanasia I absolutely loved it. I still jam to that album all that time. Damn that’s such an underrated album. There is 12 tracks on that album and everyone of them are seriously great tunes. I like when bands can be on the heavy side but remember to have melodies within the songs and megadeth did that on youthanasia. 🤜🏼🤛🏼

I agree. Love the solos on that album. Victory for example.

As much as I love Peace Sells and Rust in Peace, Cryptic Writings is also a great album. It's a rock album, not thrash, but the songs are extremely well written.

The Cars were versatile with Rick O and Orr. U2 has the advantage of also being a modern band and have a much larger catalog. Aside from Lemon, I'd rather listen to the Cars.
