Burton outside of his adventurous brand of distorted and fuzzy bass playing, was sloppy in playing the way a normal metal bassist plays. Listen to Metallica's isolated bass tracks to believe it yourself. It would be even further exposed in Megadeth's way of mixing where you can actually clearly hear the bass showing through.

I've never really listened to the part 2 song. The ending is cool, but man does Mustaine blow it on the first half. It's hard to explain. His vocals are just too prominent, and it seems just vaguely silly. I know we're talking aliens here, but the first track sells it.

Honestly, return to hangar is as shitty as hangar 18 is legendary. It just seems like they're trying too hard, like a bad part 2. Metallica did it right with the unforgiven series, megadeth shouldn't have tried to copy them. Hangar 18 in itself is a great song but the 2nd part is just awfully try hard!
