If you go to a metal show, I would guarantee you will have a great time. Believe it or not, the people who are raging out at these concerts are much friendlier than the old women you meet at the grocery store.

I usually make a lot of friends at heavy metal shows. Between bands you can start a conversation with anyone. Usually you see somebody wearing a t-shirt from another show you were at and you start talking about how awesome it was, or a t-shirt for a band that you really want to see. In any case, anybody wearing a heavy metal band t-shirt is pretty easy to talk to.
@49timesthelovin6 жыл бұрын
No reason to stay out of a heavy metal mosh pit. Mosh pits get a bad name, but they aren't so bad. It's not any worse than the physicality of boxing out for a rebound in basketball. A lot of people equate mosh pits with a melee, but in reality, heavy metal mosh pits have an etiquette, which frowns upon anti-social behavior such as punching or kicking. If you fall down in a mosh pit, people will pick you back up. If someone starts to get violent, the rest of the pit will push them out of the pit. Heavy metal mosh pits aren't anything to worry about. Problems only really exist at hardcore shows when you get these teenage morons throwing air punches which usually 'accidentally' connects with some bystander. And then when you sometimes have people 'crowd killing,' which is indiscriminately attacking the crowd, that can be a problem, but I haven't seen that at a heavy metal show. That usually happens at small, local 'scene' shows that have much younger high school age crowds.

The studio version is obviously better. I never really got into Megadeth, but I did buy this cd when it came out. It's very good, actually!! They are known for more thrash metal, but this album showed off their more melodic grooves. The lyrics are pretty deep too.

I saw Megadeth with Slayer back in 2010 and it was the most epic thing I've ever seen!! It was the 20th anniversary of each bands best (IMO) album, so Megadeth played "Rust In Peace" in it's entirety and Slayer performed "Season's In The Abyss". I couldn't believe what I was witnessing....and the pits were insane! Both bands sounded like they did in 1990, and Tom Araya even did the Angel of Death scream. I'm also so thankful to have seen Jeff Hanneman perform before he passed in 2013. Oh, and seeing Megadeth live with both Daves is probably the most metal thing I've seen in my life. \m/

Thing is at a show like that they have plenty more room but when bands as high energy as Megadeth are playing the crowd tends to gather tight you have 4-6 bodies pressed right up against you and al them have the same thing goin on you can feel the pulse of the entire crowd it's a feeling of awe and love and infinite power it's one of the only times that many wound up stoned people can experience the pure love of humanity all by itself all alone no need for shit just keep that music jammin fights are pretty minimal and usually involve one side being hammered so when you see a crowd jammed together tight li,e this it just our humanity and love for one another at the most "run into a burning building for strangers" level it's a unique thing to experience DO A REVIEW FROM A LIVE SHOW !!!

My first concert was Megadeth at 16. Twenty years later, I take my current girlfriend to her first concert, ironically also Megadeth, she's 27. I'm not saying that's who you should go see, for me, it was a who's coming to town. Here in a few weeks, I'm going to take my 14 year old kid to see Slayer for her first concert (Nickelodeon is cool and all, but...). Metal, just has this thing, that can connect generations better than some. It's also something like, if you get it, hell ya! if you don't, you're still cool. For your wtf Wednesday, I would say, Honeybee from Steam Powered Giraffe. If you're having a bad day, give that a listen. Instant chill mode. It's so far left field it's almost right. Peace, for now.

Well metal albums take long to make which means not a whole lot of touring which means expensive shows so people just try to get in for free after the first 20 minutes of the show and the show is overcrowded... This was especially true for 91 Moscow which started out as a free show and on the first day there were 500 000 people, but the crowd grew to a whopping 1.5 million at its peak.

The lead singer, Dave Mustaine, isn't known for having the best voice, but it is his band and he has always been the lead singer. It wouldn't be the same (for better or worse lol) if it wasn't him singing. Megadeth is VERY well known for their musicianship however. Musically they are second to none talent-wise. Dave and those he surrounded himself with over the years have been some of the best at what they do... other than singing. ;) "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due" or "Tornado of Souls" are two good ones if you want to go deeper into Megadeth. "Hangar 18" is another fan favorite as well.

I'm not trying to be critical but I think you should do the official music video reviews or at least review the videos that have the lyrics so you can understand because metal isn't easy lyrically to translate most of the time by just listening . But again I say this for your benefit not to be critical sometimes when I listen to Rap I have to Google lyrics if it's faster speed Rap and I'm an open minded Metal Head all the way But I respect art in it's form regardless. Thanks man I love your videos. Can you do a review of (Constellations) By the band AUGUST BURNS RED Actually you pick the song from either (Marianas Trench ) (Constellations) or (OCEANS OF APATHY). THEY ARE A CHRISTIAN BAND BUT THEY ARE NOT ON A CHRISTIAN LABEL AND DON'T PROMOTE THE BAND AS AN OUTRIGHT CHRISTIAN METAL BAND .They say it's to reach a larger audience with bigger message.
