The real story, In Battlefield Friends, an episode took place on this same map. Neebs mentioned there being dinosaurs and a Meglodon. Of course the Meglodon didn't exist yet, but a while after the episode, they added this easter egg as a nod to BFFs. Same for the bipod knife.
