The reason Centaur Man is in a water stage is because centaurs come from Greek mythology, and one of the more famous Greek myths is the lost continent of Atlantis, the home of an advanced civilization that sunk under the sea. Capcom likes to use that setting for its Greece-themed stages.

MegaMan had a great run on the NES, and for me, I've enjoyed these games, too. Haven't played it in years, but it's fun to watch other gaming youtubers play these classics.
