More of a ruining of its legacy. This new iteration has bad animation, lazy story and has been reduced to a kids show on a streaming service. I think most people wanted megamind to return to the big screen with Will Ferrell back with a unique idea of where to take the story and characters after 14 years. That’s why I feel they’ve ruined the essence of what megamind was.

@@Chartify Even though I haven’t seen the sequel (mostly cause it’s exclusively on a service that no longer offers free versions of it), if it sucks, I can watch the first film and pretend the sequel doesn’t exist and/or isn’t canon. Also idk why Will Ferrell or the rest of the cast didn’t return. Maybe they knew the film would suck and thus abandoned ship before it sunk like the Titanic.
