The completionist in me always insists on doing every single quest. Luckily for me if I accept them all as I go I finish most of them on accident just doing the main quests. At the end of the world I do a fun little wrap up where I talk to the last few people and knock out some monsters while enjoying how much more powerful my character is.

I was hoping you would mention that Alan ghost dust is the name of a child who played the game and sadly died of cancer. His parents asked KI to add him to the game because he loved it so much and KI agreed forever immortalising him and his pet in the game. It was so touching when they announced this.

For completionists I’d recommend doing all the sides as you encounter them. I’ve tried going back and doing them when I’m higher level, but it’s honestly the worst lol. Although the xp isn’t worth anything by late game, you will feel a sense of progression w/ the extra levels you’ll pick up along the way, and get some neat badges. Plus it’s super hype if you unlock wintertusk before mooshu/dragonspyre. You may need help/ports getting your level 38/48/58 spells though.

I usually don’t do all too many side quests unless they align with what I’m already doing. However, I do always run dungeons twice if they’re short or give an absurd amount of exp

There's this little group of side quests in Mirage that give you the badge "Eye of the Tiger"

i know this was kinda said in the manner of all wintertusk sides, but even if i don’t do all wintertusk sides i always make sure to do the thaw that counts to early on get the pretty high damage ring and athame from the vendors you defrost

I do the Zeke quests from Wizard City to Polaris and I skip the Zafaria quest cause that one gives gold for some reason instead of XP. I also do the Zeke quests for wysteria, wintertusk and grizzleheim. I also do the book quests in Wizard City, Marleybone, wysteria, and Mooshu. I also do the side quests for the Librarian in Avalon since it gives good XP. I do the Runestone side quest for Wintertusk since we have to do some side quests to complete that quest. I also do the stone quest in Azteca since you get a lot of XP. I also do Eloise’s side quest from Khyrsalis to Polaris since since her quest give good XP. I also do the potent trap, sharpened blade, berserek and colossal side quest

my general rule of thumb is this. I do every sidequest i can in the first arc to get to level 50 by the end of dragonspyre, then I do all of Griz after beating mali the first time. Then I mix in celestia and Wintertusk until i get to a high even level to do waterworks (or realistically because i am lazy) get wintertusk crafted.

There are a couple side quests in Mirage and Empyrea worth it too. I forget their names, but they give legendary socket wrenches. I believe they're in the pub near Alkali Barrows, Samsara Village, and Nimbus Citadel respectively.

The Sharpen Blade and Potent Trap quests are also side quests and make all bosses so much easier after you get them!

the celestia training point quests are easier and quicker than the zeke quests. (the first one you can just buy snacks from the bazaar). You get enough training points for feint from leveling up, and you only need a handful extra to get astral spells when you unlock them

Definitely, but if you’re doing the Zeke quests as you go it’s not like it adds time.

Yeah those quests are EXTREMELY useful. If you’re a grandmaster crafter when you do the side quests, you can get 3-4 training points in just 20 minutes. And then there’s a continuation quest in zafaria where you visit Marleybone for another training point. Idk about you but I do this asap cuz the Zeke quests can take a long time when you have to finish dungeons just to find the artifact/creature. Some zeke quests can take up to an hour. Yikes!

This is the myth elegant hat, able to be bought in the crownshop or dropped from Yakedo in Crimson Fields. The Robe is the Paradox Vestment from the Trident in Empyrea. The boots are the Archangel Boots able to be dropped by Moros in the Shadow Palace.
