My hair is literally the same as yours just different colour, my hair is a really light brown. But I curl my hair like that and brush them out, I feel like that's what works best for my hair especially when I don't want my curls to look to fancy! And I use the tresemme heat tamer spray, it's nice and leaves my hair smelling nice and I find it works great and doesn't make my hair greasy at all!

i dont have a twitter account but i have used this method before. my hair is uber straight like yours and because its pretty long, it doesnt curl like yours. but i did use a one inch barrel and i loved the results

I use Pantene heat protectant kind of sparingly because when I do my hair it gets frizzy. But like Megan it makes my hair greasy if I use too much. Megan if you're reading this I spritz it at distance so it's not using so much if you want to use it but your hair is shiny as it is.

I use Tresemme Thermal Creations heat protectant spray. Works fantastic, smells even better. I also have used Got2b Guardian Angel heat protectant spray. I haven't had an issue with greasy hair by using either one so try those out! (:

to get natural curls i hold the barrel upside down and wrap my hair around it, i dont use the clamp at all! It looks reaaallllyy good if you wrap your hair around it :)

Megan, I didnt used to use hair protectant eather because of the greasiness, but my friend made try this stuff by Beyond The Zone - Pro Formula and its called Smooth Criminal. Its so AWESOME! No greasiness and it smells so good!

I use Brazilian keratin therapy flat iron spray by Organix because it is nourishing and doesn't make my hair greasy (which is unusual) I also use the anti-breakage serum along with it and I found that it works the best that way. I got both of these products at Wal-Mart. (:

a really good heat protectant is the one by tresemme. i had the same problem with heat protectant making it greasy but this one I've found doesn't if you spray your hair when its wet. :)

instead of using a curling iron, i do almost the same thing, just with hot rollers. it takes less time and the curl holds better (except i have naturally curly/wavy/frizzy hair so it might be different) and after curling it, i use a pick. it looks really cute too. i always get compliments. just an idea =]

Megan, I noticed you part your hair on the same side as I do. I have problems with curling the right side of my hair because I had really short layers that are now grown to about 6 or 7 inches. Do you have any suggestions on how to curl the layers as well as the bottoms of my hair?

i have naturally curly hair as well. I use herbal essences hydrating curls shampoo and conditioner. i deep condition my hair 1-2 times per week with aussie moist deep conditioner. also, idk if this will help you, but i brush my hair in the shower once i've put shampoo annd conditioner in it. that helps give my hair more volume. and lastly, i don't wash the conditioner out of my hair because my curls...oh and wash your hair every other day. these things work for my curls. hope this helps! :)

The Tresseme Heat Tamer spray does not make your hair greasy at all it just makes it incredibly soft. I have really light baby blonde hair so it gets greasy really fast, but this doesn't make it greasy one bit. i use it everyday after i shower and it makes my hair so soft I can't stop touching it.

it's very similar to curling ur hair with a curling iron or curling wand. From my experiences, (even though I'm 11 years old) curling ur hair with a straightner or flat iron keeps the curl for a longer period of time (even if u dont use hair spray mousse). Just do it normally but carefully bcuz most straightners or flat irons heat up really fast and u dont wanna burn urself..hope that helped......
