The dual and intertwined pandemics of racism and COVID-19 underscore the importance of building resilience as a community. While simultaneously coping with the trauma of systemic racism, communities are doubly affected by the global health crisis, suffering impacts to their physical, mental and financial well-being. Megan Kennedy, director of the UW Resilience Lab, will draw ideas from two of the lab’s current initiatives to highlight how resilience is a community project.
