For the first time donors, or if you’ve tried and haven’t been able to donate, drink a lot of water, try it without your parents there(yes, I know that sounds weird, but it worked for me) it’s not as bad as you think it’s going to be. The worst thing is when they prick your finger to check your iron level. I had really no symptoms besides being a bit more tired, but that’s normal. Try to see if they all walk-ins because if you are an anxious person then you will worry about it all day and then your heart rate might be too high. I promise you that it’s not as bad as you think.

I know. The worst part is when someone gives blood just to flex, to say "hey scum, you can't date me, but you can still have my blood". I guess the blessing is that their bad intentions still result in 3 lives being saved.

I believe it depends on the location, I was able to have my mom, but I did it at my school, and not at a local clinic.
