The Manneh Family Not really haha. He loves napping in the swing, but we try to keep him in the bassinet for naps as much as possible. He’ll sleep for a half an hour and then be awake. I think he has FOMO!

honestly thank you for talking openly about sex. I know it's not easy to talk about intimate things online even if you're used to being open about about your life online, but it's honestly so helpful and I'm really grateful that you decided to talk about this as well as other things. You're both such sweet, wonderful people and I've only just found you and watched a couple videos but you're both wonderful parents and I'm so glad I found your channel xx

Parenthood changes constantly. The first year was hard in terms of how much they demand of you. It’s always hard, but it gets easier in different ways. My son will be 5 in January and I feel as if I can barely remember what the newborn/infant days were like. It was a blur and I wish I cherished it more at that time, but I struggled. Kids grow up so fast. The years go by so much quicker when you’re a parent. The sleep will get easier. My son slept through the night at 3-4 months and it stayed that way. Good luck to you both as parents! Enjoy the journey!

Sex after giving birth to my 3rd... I wasn't in a rush waiting for that 6 week mark... Hubby was... But it really was kinda cool, to me it felt like getting to experience it together for the first time again in a way... Obviously it's not your first time, but pregnancy sex in those last couple months are definitely different than what you're used to... So it's been so long since it was "just the 2 of you" in a sense... I really did see it as an opportunity to rediscover and experience each other in a new and fresh way again, if any of that made sense.

I love this SO much. This has been my #1 worry since I have been pregnant. We were ready to have a baby, but my husband and I LOVE being together and I worried how our relationship would change once we had the baby. I also really appreciated the 'TMI' info, because this is something I've thought a lot about as well. Thank you so much for videos like this! I don't trust the advice or opinion from very many people on the internet, and you are one of the few I have found that I connect a lot with. Lots of love! ♡

It definitely changes your relationship. We were worried about that too and still miss it sometimes. But you adjust and adapt and find time to appreciate those little moments. We still binge Netflix and find time to run to the bedroom when he’s asleep 🤣

3 weeks of maternity leave is nothing! I’m so sorry there aren’t any options in the US for mat leave. I get that it’s different with your own business, but in Canada as someone who’s self-employed you can pay into Employment Insurance special benefits (mat leave and parental leave), so you can take a year off with baby if you have someone to help run the business. And if you have a regular 9-5 job you automatically pay into it. Plus some employers top up your EI so you receive a full salary while you’re off. But the two of you are doing an amazing job :) you guys really balance each other out and sound like you’ve figured out how to be Megan and Matt and also mom and dad ☺️

Random question but how have you been liking your maxi cosi stroller and car seat? I’m deciding if I want to go with the same model you have. Thanks!
@Matt_Acuna4 жыл бұрын
Functionally I like it. We leave the car seat in the car and primarily use the bassinet style for walkies, but even that’s adjustable. It’s not a one-hand close, so I usually just carry the whole thing up and down the stairs and we leave it in the entryway unfolded. Nice big wheels, good storage underneath. That’s my ten second review haha
@brianaor12344 жыл бұрын
Matt Acuña thanks!

I second this! Biggest downside is how hard it is to fold and unfold, especially if you want the bassinet facing you. But love it otherwise!

I have a questions to ask 1. Does breastfeeding sometimes make you feel super isolated? 2. What does matt do for a living? 3. Why does he have 2 watches?😂 4. Are you on birth control & if you are what type?
@MeganAcuna4 жыл бұрын
1. Not really, but I know it is for a lot of women! I’m lucky that Rowan eats really quickly so I never spend more than 15 minutes at a time feeding him! It is hard though to plan the schedule around feeds. 2. He’s a commercial property manager! 3. He was wearing mine to count my steps while I was pushing the stroller and then forgot to take it off 😂 4. I’m not! We’re using other methods to prevent pregnancy

Really not sure where this comment is coming from. I think it’s hard for all new parents so we try to be honest about the difficult parts to make others feel less alone but we love our son so much and couldn’t imagine life without him. And I think we’re doing a great job with him! There’s really no reason to ask something like this; it’s pretty hurtful.
@meganz444 жыл бұрын
This comment seems very unnecessary. I don’t think anyone has a baby and thinks, “wow, there is literally nothing difficult about adjusting to life with a new baby!”. As someone expecting their first child after 16 months of trying/fertility treatments/surgery to even conceive.. even I know life is going to be completely different and it will be a huge adjustment to bring a tiny baby into our lives. This video and Megan’s realness about being a new parent really makes me feel better and more at ease about having my baby in a few weeks. If I was struggling and someone made this comment to me, or related to this video and then saw your comment, I would be extremely hurt by it. Please don’t comment something like this without thinking about how you’re making others feel.
@morganfleming35704 жыл бұрын
See this is why people are so uncomfortable putting their families and true thoughts on here. You get opinions that are, quite frankly, unnecessary and judgmental. Oh no, how dare a new mom take an hour for herself or actually need her own space? Must mean she doesn’t love her kid. Like come on! We’re all human. No one is perfect. Shaming people about being honest isn’t going to fix anything
@charlottebarros57734 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry if you thought that I was being judgmental I promise I wasn’t. I apologize if I offended you
