Thanks for being here! We had only 10 minutes to film and we were trying to hit the main points. It was really important to Josh that we weren't late so that's probably why it felt like that. Perhaps we can do a follow up q and a when he feels more willing to talk. He's not the youtuber so he appreciates my "shepherding " but I totally see where you're coming from.

Oh my! Hearing josh explain his feelings and I was nodding my head, and agreeing with what he was saying. That was my feeling in December also. Our midlife crisis ended in shutting down our food business of 11 years and moving to Florida from Pennsylvania. Change is a good thing. The thought process can be overwhelming but when the Lord opens the doors, it feels more like this is what you are to be doing.

Yep. My husband went from electrician to teacher in his late 30s and now in his mid 50s he recently went from teacher to truck driver. As wives its good to ride that wave with them...as scary as that can be. I think it can certainly help in teaching our children where our true identity comes from. Many blessings as you two continue your adventure. Absolutely love the way y'all work together! ❤️🌻

Congratulations on the new job position for Josh🎉 and like you said Megan ( for you as well, as you will be now answering to THE BOSS) I feel God has opened this door for your family for a reason and as a wife of a husband who ran his own building company for 35 years of our marriage, I can attest that the idea of perhaps having LESS hours at home with your beautiful family is well worth all the GOLD and SILVER in the world. As you know, you only get one shot at this life, and having “more precious moments”is where it’s at! God bless you all 🙏🏻

We went through a similar season of change a few years back. I called it a “1/3 life crisis” for my husband because at the time he was about 35. 😂 It took a few years, but it led us to where we are now, which is very different (but so much better) life than I could have ever imagined. I had no idea what God had planned for us that was hinging on our obedience. ❤

The news you shared about Josh's career change is something we can resonate with in our home. My husband just took an entirely new career offer after 10 years (!) of being in the cabinet business and is so much happier now. It makes a big difference in the atmosphere of the home... which I always thought was more momma's area of influence. Lol... but turns out, when the man of the house is happy, it trickles down all over as well ❤ congratulations!! It sounds like a really fun and rewarding career.

I predict that this career change will benefit you physically in the long-term - less wear and tear on your body as you grow older. Your knees and back will age more slowly. At least you’re still working with your hands, but now in the artisan sense😂 My husband’s family is in Lancaster Co. and they’ve never taken me to September Farm (have heard of it and driven past it, but never been inside), so this hits close to home for us. Next time we visit, we’ll definitely be going and maybe can say hi to Josh! 😂 My husband was in the military, and also went through a career change when he got out (he’s now in landscaping), but he LOVES it and is much happier, so maybe this will be that change for y’all too! Congratulations Josh!! Until one has owned and ran their own business no one understands how demanding and time consuming it can be. My husband has owned his own sporting goods store for 47 years. I worked another job because we needed a guaranteed paycheck and insurance. Once the business doors close there are still bills to pay, emails to answer, lots of outside store hours work. He worked 7 days a week for all those years except during C19 decided to close on Sundays. That has been a blessing. Change can be hard but so rewarding. You will do awesome Josh because you have a strong work ethic and from what I can see you are very smart. Hopefully you will also get some well deserved benefits such as retirement, insurance, vacation etc. Megan it is so great that you are the supportive wife. I worked at one of the BBs stores for 4 years and now I live in Nebraska, I couldn’t miss a store more than I miss BBs!

Congrats on the career change! We can totally relate as my husband is hoping to make a career change after years of burnout with his job. Also I grew up on a farm so I remember seeing how it was for my dad being self employed and how work follows you home everyday, especially endless paperwork

You were on the roads I know and love. I shopped BB’s for years, even when it was Farmer Brown’s. Great place. I often bought out of date with no problems. Usually my own items at home are out of date by the time I use them. I love your channel. That is my home.

Congratulations Josh you have the most positive humble attitude especially on a career change.. And your confidence is amazing what everyone needs.. Change is Growth!. Sure God will bless U where He puts you.. your on the right track. I know alot of husband's out there are not the kind to accept advice or even critical feedback from their wives. Love all U guys do. Miller is so cute with the vacuum.

He definitely waited until we both felt a peace about it! It's hard when you have a husband that's pretty much good at everything (in my opinion.😝) He could do just about anything!

(Judy VanderPloeg) Congratulations on the new job. There is a lot of truth in the statement, "If you find a job you love, it never feels like work". We aren't local, but we have plans on visiting friends on the East coast, maybe we can add this as one of our stops. When my husband had a midlife crisis, I pretty much just stayed supportive, but let him work through it. Now I'm getting prepared for the life and identity change that comes with retirement.

Congratulations on Josh’s new job! Being a Pastor’s wife and moving many times I understand about change. I think it’s harder on us women. We will be visiting Lancaster the end of this month so will plan on visiting where your husband’s working.

My husband’s midlife crisis last May was a purchase of a bar & restaurant on the beach in St. Martin. Needless to say we are no longer together but I support him! While he followed his dream I completed my MA 🎉

So happy for you and Josh! What an exciting career change for him! My family and I actually visited September Farm way back when they first opened and it was basically focused on cheese. Can't wait to visit again and see all of the changes you talked about! God bless you and your family!
