Hello I was wanting to fix my truck back and put power steering on it because it's a 1990 model and didn't have it from the factory but where it has a plantium from a 240sx the power steering hose hits the platium so what did you use to make yours work?

so all I did when I put the 240 plenum on is I removed the hardline on the power steering pump and rotated it almost 180 degrees so it runs next to the plenum instead of hitting it. it takes a little finagling but it will work just fine without it sitting in the bracket.

so the megasquirt is not a direct PNP to the stock ECU..you have to modify the wiring?

The connectors for the ecm are direct plug and play but there are added sensors for IAT and a few other small things that I added in with the MS to better run & monitor what I needed My AFM is also wired into my ECM for failsafe precautions

The added sensors are not necessary but can be pretty vital depending on your setup. Since I was boosted, had blowoff valve, no IACV, no anything, I needed some extra sensors and monitoring abilities

yes, the Megasquirt uses an internal 3bar(I think) MAP sensor in place of the MAF. My MAF is completely removed

How do I know whether to run the 50 vs 54 mm trigger disk? The one your using is the 54 right?

Yeah, I’m almost 100% positive that i have the 54mm trigger wheel. Pretty sure I physically measured mine to be sure before ordering

@StreetTerrorGarage I just recently ordered the 54mm trigger wheel for my 95 nissan pickup truck and I ran into a similar issue I noticed you said it was kinda hard to get it in there, is it because there's 2 prongs that the wheel is suppose to line up with? Just curious how this setup worked for you

no this in particular model will not but they may make one for your frontier! If it has the same Ecm plug as the 240sx KA24DE(unsure what years had de) I would assume they’ve done it or are compatible.

mine was giving me issues as well but I installed the trigger disc, GM IAT sensor and like 3-4 other things like boost controller, wideband etc I just installed everything and had MRD time + tune the truck on the dyno

I had wired up both KA & Z32 MAFs with the SAFC but have now upgraded to MAP built into the Megasquirt
