INFJ + ENFJ Relationship | V Day Special

I’m an INFJ and I’ve dated 3 ENFJ men in the past. The ways we were similar were always in ways I never saw in other guys/types. They would always be incredibly understanding, open to just having alone time together talking about feelings/life, etc, similar senses of humor, and friendly with everyone. They could also READ me which was both endearing and unnerving at times; considering I like to keep things to myself and not open up to anyone. 😆 Unfortunately, they all had narcissistic/egotistical tendencies (one was incredibly manipulative and I’m convinced he WAS a clinical narcissist.). But in my experience, FEMALE ENFJs make the most lovely friends! We can be independent together!

DNIWJFUFJRIGIFIEJUEJFKEIDJFIEK Ok i still can’t admit it but ok um verrrrrrryyyy funny…… ummm…… ok…… (this was a while ago) one time I hangout with my ex-friend (ENFJ) and my cousin (ISFP) to the waterpark. We all have fun. Especially them two together. It all seemed nice. They got along (ex-friend and my cousin). GUESS WHAT? On the car ride home, I ask my cousin “omgggg did you like him? Was he nice??? You guys got so along!” … MY COUSIN THEN REPLIES, “Mattias… you KNOW how I feel when people bully you.” I was “confused” (something deep inside knew what she was talking about but my brain was being nice) and started saying stuff like “omg he is a caring person and he cares about me! Sometimes he likes to joke around! And you guys get along, right?” Then she says “I mean yeah I get along with him but he’s also mean with you.” … me and my ex-friend parted for OTHER reasons but it also literally took me time and separation to finally realize that OTHER than our life goal differences, he ALSOOO had bully tendencies that I was paying close attention to at the time! “But he was caring!” I said. But one half is love, and the other half is WORK. It takes both to win me over now. I am not stupid anymore. Or at least I’m highly confident I’m not anymore. Oh and anyone can be a narcissist. Anyone, and of every type, and of every gender, in their own little way. But just… you speaking on ENFJ male… omg… just got a little reminded of something hahaha.

I'm just 9 minutes in, but: 1. I already relate to Jess during conversations: if Ni silently comes to a conclusion and in the meantime the other person brought up another topic, Ni will bring back the previous topic to make closure. Same tbh, the Ni focus and fear of the chaos jump out. Enfjs are definitely more elastic about this, more reactive in the present moment. 2. u're cute af together 😭❤🙏✨

I can relate very well to Jess's need to be fully into something to commit time to it, and to not approach something until she's fully learned about the topic. It's really great to see. I like seeing you two and your dynamic. It is kind of bittersweet to me though. A lot of the... "problems" that come up in the relationship that you two touched on... they remind me of my last relationship where those problems eventually eroded the relationship. I posted a comment on an old video of yours and I'll somewhat repeat it here; Meghan, you need to fully open up to Jess and give her everything inside of you, every dirty detail, every twisted and sad and good and evil moment of who you are and what you experienced. Think of it like this; think of the amount of effort Jess puts into learning even the most mundane thing, like what is the best bathroom cleaner as an odd example. She puts hours of thought into something so small. Then think of you, Meghan, where Jess wants to put not just hours, or days, but years-decades and decades of time into knowing you. The worst part is down the line when Jess finds out something critical that she did not know, and her intuitive fantasy image of you is cracked. Avoid this and give her everything inside of you, literally every detail, leaving nothing out. Explain it is a process but that you will let her know any old thought, bad feeling, bad relationship, good relationship, good feeling, everything you've experienced - that you will tell her every detail; Jess is craving this information from you. You have to give that to her. There is nothing she can't handle, over time. But she cannot handle not being told the truth, and not knowing who you are at your core. Random KZbin comment and instantly going 0-100 into the deep end! That's INFJ. I hope you know that this is coming from a place of compassion and experience even though I don't know you two. I wish you two the best and look forward to seeing your videos pop up in the future.

Thanks for sharing Jess with us again : ) You two are a joy to watch. It seems to me that sharing the same functions really can make relationships easier to exist in. My current INFJxINFJ relationship makes me feel so accepted and loved and cherished at every turn, in ways I never thought possible. She's Enneagram type 2 and I am type 1, so the differences between us do shine through : D "I'll stick with something that's making me miserable..." 😂 so true. (I did this recently with The Witcher series) *100% have to be in the right mood to watch a particular show/movie.

Awe how fun!!! This was cool to see the contrasts. As an INFJ, I am intensely private and I always shhhsh my bf in public because his voice can carry and I don’t want people knowing what we are talking about or drawing attention to me. Im also very sensitive to chaos and things that are unplanned coming out of nowhere. An no matter how well I try to plan there is always something. I can also detach from peoples critical perceptions of me, my identity, and personality even if it’s negative and hurtful. Sometimes I may agree LOL BUT it’s harder to detach from people criticizing my Ti, my logic and reasoning. I get upset by that. With the organizing thing… I feel our spatial reasoning is pretty good. My bf also comments on how much I make life easier and have reasons for everything to improve our space. He does call me controlling with the privacy thing haha I just don’t want people to see me!! I thought I was fun but in comparison to other types, like ENFJs, I’m so lame! But accepting people for who they are instead of who they CAN be is difficult… I do try to control how people are in public. The point about needing to have all the Se information before acting is so daunting!!! And the wanting to eat but not wanting to make food… hahaha … my sister had to cook food for me or I wouldn’t eat. And not wanting to ask for help!!! I will circle a whole store twice!!! And my bf will be like, “let’s just ask!!!” Nope. Don’t want to talk to people and connect if I don’t have to. We do research everything!! Ti can be cold and confronting in a fight. We pull Se facts and always have a point. We are not the type to strike below the belt with curse words, names, and emotions. For our style, we are quite timeless. We know what goes out will come around again and we wear what looks decent and we feel good in. What’s interesting is how it was mentioned that watching shows an INFJ will want to fully in tuned and invested in committing to the show to give it the best shot for whether we want to continue to invest… this also describes how we operate in relationships and determine when it’s time to give up. We will do everything possible to fix, save, re-work, re-invent, and give it our best shot, our fullest attention before deciding whether it’s worth the time and effort. Time and wanting to spend it where it counts is our greatest motivator and running out of it is our biggest anxiety-inducer.

INTJ here. At 25:00, you gotta remember that a lot of us Te users (especially aux Te and Te doms) actually WANT you to come ask us. We ENJOY it. :-) So Jess, it's not going to bother us if you come to us before figuring everything out yourself. Remember a Te user likes the interaction just like your Fe likes the Fe interaction. I sometimes feel starved at work when I don't get to be around Te users because most of my coworkers are Ti users and never want to TALK about it. It's so boring when they just do it all by themselves. Now, that being said, don't waste my time with really easy questions constantly, like 10 times a day. But I definitely like a good Te exchange at least once or twice a day.

32:38 oh my gosh, my wife who's an entj, same thing, we have the same movie/show dynamic between the two of us also. Sometimes though.. I don't know if this happens to you guys, but if she has something on that I've been like "no I'm not really in the mood" about, if I have to walk by the tv for whatever reason, I'll catch a glimpse of the show and I'll just end up standing there like a dummy watching it anyway. And my wife is always like "uhh... this is a crazy idea, but you know you could.. oh idk.. sit down and watch with me" lol.

Man I really enjoyed this video a lot I'm an INFJ, my homie and the girl I'm in love with are both ENFJs everything you said about being ENFJ resonates with the both of them and with your girl with her speaking on being INFJ I resonate with alot too I thank God that I have these dope relationships with two ENFJs in my life but I'll like to add in that with enfjs you guys can get discouraged but with us INFJs we don't get discouraged

I have been trying to figure out how a relationship between a male ENFJ and a female INFJ may pan out. I have this colleague that I suspect is ENFJ and we have quite a strong chemistry, however he is so sensitive to criticism (inferior Ti?), and I can be quite blunt at times and slap ppl in their face with my child Ti hahaaha. But also , I find him very forceful with his Fe+Se. Even though he is older than me by close to a decade, he puts on this ESTPs show, which I have a hard time buying into and find a bit childish. He got tattooed, and he literally will flex his muscles to show off the tattoo. ts like he is trying to hard with his tertiary Se. Also, I suspect he is quite a flirt, which will antagonize me as I dont like walking around with men that behave like puppies (i.e. attention seekers). He really is very intelligent, kind and very invested in the relationships with others .I do like him, and he seems so interested in me, but my Ni is giving me some red flags. ENFJ and INFJ is supposed to not be a great match. I feel like he will drain me with his Fe hero, and also his forceful Se.

These two types actually can make a great match. But a lot depends on the other factors that make up who a person is.

It sounds like you’re girlfriend is more J than you ( organized, planning, careful). Next to her, you’re more ENFPish Maybe the influence of your Enfp friend (?)

Yes for ENFJs, we have tertiary “childlike” Se, which can make us more comfortable with change and the unknown.

@MS Jasmine, I'm far more J than my ENFJ girlfriend. I don't think ENFJs are very J. Meghan is sooo ENFJ. Watching these two was like watching me and my girlfriend. It's hysterical.
