“I do no care how many calories anything is. I’m just focused on getting enough protein and not being hungry” I absolutely love this. I’m currently doing this and i feel so much better about how I’m fueling my body. I have goals in the gym and knowing I don’t need to meticulously track every macro to reach those goals feels like a weight lifted off my shoulders (no pun intended😅)
@natashakinman12802 жыл бұрын
Now what if you are try to lose fat and gain a little muscle ? Would just tracking protein still be ok
@JujuJuju-ps7ms Жыл бұрын
@@natashakinman1280 it’s hard to track calories accurately. One portion of celery eaten raw gives you 6 calories, when it’s cooked, it gives you 30 calories. So very often than not calculating calories is just a myth and not accurate at all. I think focusing on eating healthy and high protein food is enough. If you want to lose weight efficiently, do intermittent fasting instead of counting calories.
@smsweatt Жыл бұрын
I have a hard time tracking my dinners because I tend to improvise a lot with ingredients. And because I feed two other people, I can’t just stick to certain recipes geared for myself and my macros. So instead I have been tracking my mornings and lunches and then winging it for dinner. Tracking is stressful and I agree with the weight it adds. It makes you feel as though if you don’t track then your efforts or for nothing at times.

Yes that's because everyone's is eating for their own personal goals. It won't ever be the same for everyoune not will it work for everyone. You should eat according to what your goals are. No disrespect to this woman but just because she's eatsbtye way she does, doesn't mean eating like her will workout for you. Plus she is still breat feeding so her body requires a lot more calories and nutrients I say find out what works for your goals and follow that but be realistic about it as well.

Thank you so much for sharing this! You kept the food so simple but interesting. I feel so much anxiety around food/meal prep, and this helped me feel more chill about it. Something that helps me hit my protein is adding Oikos Triple Zero yogurts to my smoothies. Or just eating them plain is good too. They only have 10g carbs, 0 fat, and 15g protein ❤️

OOOO I should try those in my smoothies! sometimes just plain greek yogurt leaves it a little too tangy. Depends on my mood!

I really like the Oikos pro protein that is like 25mg protein per serving with 2% milk fat. But I can only find them as single servings at one store near me. I don’t like the triple zero. I find it grainy.

@@domepiece11 Really? Yogurt is one of those things that naturally separates so before you eat it, it's best to stir it really good. Mine always becomes smooth/creamy after stirring it up. If I need a little something different for texture, I'll add a little bit of sprinkles. Kind of random, but it helps!

Protein shakes and BCAAs are more or less a dessert when you are on any kind of diet. The BCAA flavor patterns that work are basically slushies and shaved ices that taste good. Whey is more or less anything that has milk in it so cereal flavor is no question. Ice cream, cookies, cereal, and other milk compliments always make the best flavors. But I look at them as the treat and icing on a cake called weight loss.

Running is good, especially on a track, but you may want to consider biking and swimming. The assault bike from rogue will definitely burn those calories. I strength train 4-5 days per week, mountain bike 2-3 per week, and do full body workouts with light dumbbells (or 20lb vest) incorporating the assault bike, or sprints on the days that I don’t mountain bike (4-5wk). I love pushing the limits of my strength and endurance at the same time.

I find I get ravenous when I lift heavy. I love lifting, still more intermediate, but I'm always STARVING. I usually just only count protein, and I can hit my target really easily early but I'm still not satisfied. And being a 5'2" short gal a 5 lb gain looks super fat. So I guess my question is how do I not over eat?
@starzthelimit35632 жыл бұрын
I'm 5'1 and I can relate, when I was counting macros I felt the same way and ended up refeeding until I was no longer hungry. I gained 10 lbs before I was no longer starving all day. These days I still try to prioritize protein, but I don't worry about calories and ended up losing 5 of the 10 lbs I gained. I just eat when I'm hungry and don't eat when I'm not. I honor my body and don't deprive myself, just try to make better food decisions and continue to workout.
