On the touching part- I can relate to an extent because in Christianity it’s considered sinful to have intimate relations outside of marriage. For many years you’re told no and then after a 15 minute ceremony you can do everything. It’s hard to reconcile the part where something that was once sinful is now encouraged. Both of us had a harder time with that one

Malak Khoder this is a similar thing that happened to my father. His father was very rude and a lil abusive. My father's father divorced with his wife. She was amazing and is still with us. And they were all in Pakistan at the moment so my father and his sister went to England and so did their dad and it caused so much problems because his mother couldn't support them. We cannot afford to go to Pakistan to meet them now too. It gets hard, I understand just please remember that we have Allah SWT tabarakallah

You're both so mature. Watching this with 2 other preschool teachers while we have lunch (between classes, no kids)... We deal with so much body noise humor, bathroom with the door open, and "he said a potty word" that all 3 of us heard "in certain cultures..." as "insert..." You discussed periods a bit. Maybe I'm the only one with this question, but a woman can't read the Quran when she has her period, can't cook or touch the food, can't have sex (at least, I was told those are all harem - I'm not Muslim, please correct me) so is she supposed to actually tell her husband that she has her period or only if asked?

You are right a women can't read the *ARABIC* Quran but she can read the translation and yes she can't have sex, but not cooking or not touching food is not true, I will starve if my mother or sister or wife doesn't cook for me and she will starve as well if she doesn't eat food , I guess😂(these things might be present in some cultures,but not in Islam) . If you want to get answers to your questions you can go to the channels of Ali dawah, Mohammad Hijab and many more✌

Okay, I told my Muslim friend that ya said cooking while on period is okay. She turned bright red and started sputtering "you weren't supposed to check, I just didn't want to help cook and know you wouldn't question it if I said it's harem." She is so busted. It's really funny how she got caught. No big deal but now I feel like a male PE teacher accepting the "I can't run, I have my period" story.

Reading is such a good habit! A small advise from me, stories with love and romance sometimes will involve the physical elements such as touches and other intimate acts. i would advise against it because one thing could lead to another, even when reading, especially if the reading material is for more "mature" readers, it will mention things of sexual nature, and shaitan loves to lead us slowly towards the wrong path, little by little. At first it may be romance, but later it might be something else. So make sure if you think your reading material is not good or "halal", read something else. Sorry if this came out too harsh.
