1- Friends affect each another either negatively or positively. It is said: "Characteristics steal a person (i.e. he is easily influenced by them and ultimately ends up adopting these characteristics)." It is for this reason that the Prophet said: "A man is upon the religion of his friend, so let one of you choose whom he befriends." [Ahmad, Abu Daawood and At-Tirmithi] 2- A bad friend will disassociate himself from his friend on the Day of Resurrection; Allah Says (what means): {Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous.} [Quran 43:67] 3- On the Day of Judgment, a person will be with those whom he loves. The Prophet said: "A person will be with whom he loves." [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim] Hence, would a Muslim be pleased to be resurrected on the Day of Judgment with those who were homosexuals in this world? Can u explain this?

@@MehdinaTV That really was a thing when I was in the Latin Mass movement. Ladies were expected to wear some kind of head-covering out of respect for Jesus and his Mother. I'm glad to see that there is a small, but steady increase in women choosing to veil in the Novus Ordo Church as well (Churches that do the newer Vatican II Mass).

Also when I was little, my parents attended Episcopal and Lutheran Churches, and at both, all the ladies wore hats or scarves/mantillas. I remember my mum dressing me in a nice dress, goves and hat. No self respecting lady would go to church in anything but the best clothes they had and headcovering. It was a matter of respecting God.

I am an atheist, but I find Islam truly fascinating and it's probably my favorite religion. I live in Croatia and about a year ago I started covering my hair and dressing more modestly because it makes me feel more comfortable and kind of safe. It also gives me more confidence, but people here are not really accepting towards anything or anyone that's different so sometimes it's really hard to face all of the hate I get from people. I really love your channel and your videos and I look forward to learning more about your beautiful religion.

Living in America as a Niqabi would be SOOOO hard. It's difficult in the US to be a hijabi Sister. People look at me so crazy. I am HEAVILY tattooed (may Allah forgive me) and I get more looks in the hijab with all of my tattoos covered than if I ran around in a bikini with all tats showing. I want to add that wearing modest clothing and wearing my hijab makes me feel free. I feel closer to Allah and more like myself. I feel so beautiful when I am covered. As well, I know that when Allah sees me this way he is more pleased with me.

When you put it like this, it is understandable in the context of religion. In my country, nudity when swimming or at the beach in the sauna (communal or not) is acceptable. It is a part of our culture. We have similar traits in culture of saunas being seperated by gender and family. Nudity here isn't as taboo as it is in most places. It's very interesting to see parallels and traits in culture. Have a good day!

I have a few questions maybe for a next Q&A or a response if you feel comfortable answering them! 1) You started covering your face at 15 a month after your mom, was the age you started considered "early?" 2) In Islam, do women cut their hair or leave it long underneath? Furthermore, is there any symbolism to a womans hair? Such as some Indigenous people believe their hair is an extension of their soul. 3) Why does he have to have a beard in Islam? Is there any symbolism to a man's hair or facial hair? 4) You mentioned your father found out you began the face covering when everyone else did, was that just situational or are fathers and other Male family members not supposed to be apart of those conversations? 5) In Christianity theres branches traditional catholic, UCC, Lutheran, Non-Denominational. Baptist and more.. are there branches of Islam as well? Is there a more traditional way of practicing Islam and a more modern way? 6) In Canada is there a large Islam population? Are most Islamic people from other countries that have moved to Canada? 7) Are there any specifically hurtful or otherwise untrue stereotypes or misconceptions that offend or bother you guys more than others? 8) Is there a reason we dont see as many youtubers who practice Islam / cover their face than youtubers who don't? Is it a religious or cultural difference? 9) Would you be willing to make a video more in depth about the beliefs of Islam? As an American I have never met anyone who practiced Islam. I have recognized blatant Islamophobia and rejected it, but never having known someone I am so full of questions. I'm sorry if they come off rude or insensitive. I love your videos thank you!💕

1) a woman can cover whenever she wants but preferably when she hits puberty because that’s when the beauty features start coming in 2)...not sure 3) a man has to have a beard because the main facial difference between man Nd a woman is that a man has facial hair hence why in Islam women must pluck there beard n mushtashe hair(not sure about shaving it) 4)... 5) there’s only one Islam (however there are some people who disagree on things like the meaning of the hadeeth(hadeeth- something the prophet pbuh said) 6)...(not from Canada) 7)...Islam does not promote terrorism rather it is prohibited 8)some KZbinrs don’t cover up because they might be scared of what society thinks of them and some just dnt wear it because they don’t want to(same way u have ppl in other religions that dnt practice there religion for e.g. some Christians dnt practice one part of Christianity but are call themselves Christian for the sake of it

hope they answer your questions in their next video! Would be great for yourself and all their other followers to learn more about Islam💗 Just to correct another reply to your questions, because I wouldn't want you to be misinformed. We put the hijab (that's not only the headscarf but dressing modesty, and acting modesty) at puberty because that's when we become women, and no longer children. We are a marriagable age at puberty and recognised as sexual beings. The hair doesn't hold any spiritual symbolism in Islam, but our hair must resemble a woman's hair, , so we shouldn't shave our heads or have a male-like style. The beard is sunnah, and that's why it's part of the male hijab. Sunnah means 'the way of the prophet', our Prophet Muhammad kept a beard and so Muslim men do this to imitate him. And lastly, there are many sects and within them schools of thought is Islam. Similar to Christianity, where there are Catholics, Protestant. Etc. In Islam there is Sunni, Shia, Ahmedi. Etc. The most common are Sunni and Shia. And within each sect are schools of thought, e.g. In Sunni Islam there is the hanafi, hanbali, salafi. Etc. But each sect and school of Islam obides to the same declaration of faith (the shahada) and so has the same core beliefs. Ofcourse some Muslims may choose not to follow a certain school of thought, and originally there was no such thing as Sunni and Shia (this split came after the death of Prophet Muhammad)... But you may hear Muslims talking about something being Sunnah - and if you follow the sunnah you most likely identity as Sunni. As I believe this couple do. I hope since your comment you've learnt some of this from other vids, but lemme know if you want to learn more!

Or, they want to continue to be friends with the opposite gender even once they’ve reach puberty? Or, at a young age they identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community? For example, they identify as the opposite gender they were assigned at birth, how would this impact them in regards to gender rules? Similarly, what happens if you grow close to a cousin of the opposite gender then one of you reaches puberty, you can no longer interact/ be friends with this cousin? Really curious about these situations.

At the end of the day the person wearing the covering should never be coerced either way. To wear or not to wear. I guess my thought here is, from what I’ve read it doesn’t specify exactly that the hijab is a hair covering or veil. And that men are expected to observe it also. It is a term for curtain as a metaphor and not literal and physical. The hijab/niqan etc were all being used culturally before the Quran was written. With that said, I believe men should be covered just as well and as much. Especially since some men have trouble growing a beard. We’re not talking about it “preventing rape” and we’re not talking about how men can’t control themselves therefore women cover up. That is all cultural/familial thinking. With this being said. If the woman wants to wear a niqab and she feels more comfortable and confident and it’s her choice and her spouse is supportive either way than go for it. But men still need to do the same to be just as modest. And in some countries both men and women wear a headscarf and throbe.

On the topic of non-Muslims covering their face/hair, I sometimes wear a veil that covers my hair and neck, similarly to a hijab, as a pagan! I didn’t wear one for most of my life, I actually didn’t start until about 8 months ago, but I was inspired by a fellow pagan I met who wore a hair and face veil similar to a niqab full time. For us pagans, veils are also a form of worship, and veiling is seen as a symbol of respect to whomever the pagan may worship. I typically veil more discreetly using a beanie when I attend school, but I’m slowly trying to build up the confidence to wear my actual headscarf to school. Do you have any advice for building that confidence? Also, is it disrespectful to describe my veil as a hijab even though I’m not Muslim? The Prophet said: "A person will be with whom he loves." [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim] Hence, would a Muslim be pleased to be resurrected on the Day of Judgment with those who were homosexuals in this world? Can u explain this?

I’ve been drawn to the niqab lately and the hijab. I’m not any kind of religion. But I’m covered in tattoos and the amount of people that think it’s okay to come up and touch me or my tattoos makes me crazy. I’ve been thinking of going out dressed modestly with a niqab and hijab when I go out sometimes just so people don’t feel the need to come up and touch me or stare at me for my tattoos (I did it to myself and I love my tattoos, but people shouldn’t touch other people without permission). I have a few modest dresses I ordered and I do have a few hijabs I have not worn yet. So soon! I would love people to see me for me and not for how I dress or what tattoos I have.

If you wear a niqab, they won’t bother you. If you were a mother of a young girl, at what age would you encourage or allow her to wear niqab? I know a lady here in London who has worn it for years and has a 14yo daughter who has talked of wanting to wear it. A few years ago she asked (she was 11 then) and I told her she should say no, as she was probably prepubescent and didn't need to anyway, and she had her whole adult life coming to be a woman, but it would attract hostility (which my friend has spoken of being on the receiving end of) and she didn't need that at that age. But you started at 15.

I fully support the right to wear whatever one wants as it’s a fundamental component of freedom of expression. However, it does seem to be slightly ignorant of the enormous amounts of suffering and subjugation of women throughout the Muslim world who are forced to cover. Where’s the acknowledgment or solidarity with these women. I’d also be curious to see what the religious justification/ mandate is said to be.. because this kind of veiling was not done at the time of Mohammad and didn’t start until generations later. If it was so important, you’d think this would be clear and explicit.

@@amandamcgovern5744 This type of veiling was done in the time of Mohammed and even before him. How widespread it was I cannot tell you but it was done. From what I have read the Koran doesn't state explicitly that women have to cover their heads, only that they have to "be modest," the standard of which varies by culture. There is a hadith (document from the people around Mohammed on things that they say he said) that says that he advised a group of women to veil themselves. Whether this hadith only applies to the context of the situation mohammed was advising or not is debatable amongst muslims, as well as how much of the body should be covered. There are women who cover even their eyes, muslimas who only cover their hair, muslimas who only cover part of their hair, and muslimas who wear nothing on their heads at all, usually depending on what the modesty standard of their country is. As for it being offensive to the women who are forced to wear hijab for Mubina to call it a choice, I really dont see why. It is only required in a few countries to veil oneself, and I imagine that the majority of Muslim women are more comfortable with it. Let me put it in perspective, women are expected, and sometimes legally required to cover their breasts when men don't have to. This is an unequal modesty standard. However, does that mean that the majority of Western women would walk around shirtless if given the chance? No, most women don't even think about going out shirtless despite the fact men dont have to wear shirts in casual settings. This woman has as much right to say she chooses to wear a niqab as I do to say that I choose to wear a shirt. Yes, we are both pressured by our surroundings, but that doesn't make it not our choice. Mind you this isn't my way of saying that there are no problems with discrimination and gender inequality in Muslim communities or even within Islam, particularly in countries that legally force women to veil, I'm just trying to explain the Muslim perspective.
