To be a critical-thinking society, we neex to embrace a framework that promotes critical thinking. The framework must be simple and induce 4 important factors, make the target material easily presnetable, thinking, ralating, outllputing.

respect of teacher is important, but respect goes both ways. most respected teachers are highly respecting on students as well. Most disrespected teachers are those very disrespectful of students.

If parents do not anyhow complain, teachers will be relieved. Which teacher dares to ask for respect from parents? Sigh...

Dun understand by customization, learn only what you want what you need? Normal education teaches us pushes us beyond our certain boundaries so that we can meet certain standards. Thats why we have engineers, lawyers, doctors, its either do hard or failure. Now with customization, who makes the call to set these standards?

Really impressed with Mr Chan Chun Sing for his clarity and depth of thoughts. Singapore is so lucky to have such a Minister.

You guys need to reverse and reform, the history, education, as well as financial education Also, students should be made to do more public speaking and conversational skills like counselling skills

Why have social mobilities got anything to do with scholarship? i thought Singapore should be based on meritocracy? Thought MOE have always say should be outcome based? How can only scholars be given the chance and not those who are non-scholars? Already this is not fair and how can this be meritocratic?

Between George Yeo and Chan Chu Sing, CCS is really mediocre. What a huge difference betweens these 2 scholars. i am very worried as a Singaporean that my country is led by this person - he should retire early

I think its a conflicting idea altogether. One end you are saying customization education in place of mass education the other end you are saying using education to unite people

GAME CHANGER MINDSET and POLICY that positively impact the individuals and communities and businesses as well as social welfare and the nation 1. A nation of 🙋♀️ 🙋♂️ VOLUNTEERS ( 80 % of the people participating in PART-TIME VOLUNTEERING tied up with FREE TRAVEL INCENTIVES ENTITLEMENTS ) 2. Lower income groups and handicap groups are encouraged to doing part-time volunteering ( in exchange for home-cooked healthfood and contributing towards their other needs ) : a. RECLAIMED their INDEPENDENCE b. Cultivating GAME CHANGER MINDSET c. Realising change your thinking change your life ✨️ positively Currently the practice of giving free groceries and cooked food to needy individuals and families are a showcase of SUPERFICIAL and QUANTITATIVE so call kindness But not at all healing them mentally and physically as well as spiritually

For bilahari to discount the wars in middle east is to disrespect the dead! He could say that education is an important agent of change. AND the wars are tragic. Failed

1st time listen to the intro by this Bila-something. Had read his comments on other topics in the media. Even in person, his arrogance is shown very obviously. In this forum, it reflects this arrogance to an extent, even rather disrespectful to Minister Chan.

The bias for academic qualifications should start with the Government. No Singapore minister now is a non-scholar or without a Master's Degree or higher. Singapore has a disproportionate number of Brigadier Generals in the Government who are also scholars. In fact, non-scholars can never hope to become a General in Singapore's military. Ha ... I can remember many of the BGs who flopped when they move from Army to marketplace positions.
