After a few days of rest just north of the city of Meknes, we finally left our relaxing campsite. The plan was to stock up on some basic groceries at the Marjane hypermarket and then spend a few hours exploring the medina of Meknes before making the drive to Fes..

Great film guys. We found simply driving through Meknes intense enough!! You always show the realities of this lifestyle so well - it doesn't always work out how you thought it might, like you say, pocket the experience and move on 👍 We're jealous of you finding a decent running spot! We're just watching you guys on the phone, sat in bed in a tiny Berber house high in the mountains.......

I totally admire your hunger for new adventures and cultures, but I don't think I would enjoy the likes of Meknes. I am admittedly too used to the more Western European way, so thank god we have adventurers like you both, who can show us what we are missing. Meknes wasn't a fail for us as viewers. These videos will be such an asset to people thinking of touring Morocco. Excellent content.

Thanks Andy! Appreciate your comment. ❤ We wouldn't call ourselves 'adventurous' by any means and it can be extremely rewarding to visit places that are so different from what we're 'comfortable' with. Especially when you get a chance to meet people and hear their stories. To be honest the biggest challenge here is not to have a glass of wine with supper 😋😂

You will enjoy Fez. Make sure you see the tannery. There is a 5* hotel on the hill above the town if you want a glass of wine with amazing views from the terrace. If somebody offers to 'show you around' go by gut feel. Don't be put off by their approaches. Be cautious and aware. Enjoy!

You may be tired of Moroccan cuisine but we got addicted to this when we were there. Harris spice is available everywhere in the markets. We buy a kilo every time we fly down. Harrisa Chicken Recipe Ingredients 1 large onion 4 clove garlic 1 cup rice 1.5 cup chicken stock 1 quarter Preserved lemon Pepper 1kg free range chicken thighs Olive oil 2 table spoon Harrisa powder Coriander Preparation Mix Harrisa powder with 2 tbl spoon of olive oil and marinate chicken for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight In an oven proof lidded pot Brown chicken in olive oil then remove Fry onion and garlic until browned Add rice and coat with oil for a few minutes Add chicken stock, preserved lemon and pepper then stir to combine Place chicken on top of rice Place covered pot in 200c oven for 35 minutes Serve with coriander leaves You can also add olives in the mix when adding preserved lemon Increase or decrease spices based on your preference Enjoy!

Another great video, we will definitely venture into Morocco and when we do I’ll use your videos as a guide. Can I ask you what type/make of cameras you use? The bodies are very nice quality. Thanks for taking us all with you on your adventures, I love it.
@WeWillNomad
@WeWillNomad 5 ай бұрын
The bodies? 😋 Guess that's an autocorrect. 😀 We primarily use action cameras as it's easier to carry and they can cope with some abuse. We use a combination of the DJI Action 1, Action 3, and DJI Pocket 2. Wherever possible we use wireless microphones. We also had the DJI Action 2 but lost it overboard on the ferry heading to Morocco 😬 We also sometimes use an Insta360 3 and for driving shots we pull footage from our Vantrue S1 Pro dashcam. Most of these products are linked in our Amazon Store below.

Sorry guys, but you missed one of the jewels of Meknes, and which they finished refurbishing. Where ? Just where you parked your camper, you passed it unaware of what you are missing. In front there's a nice monumental gate, it's the imperial stuffs houses, or ' dar lakbira' one of the amazing architectural wonders that the city, and Morocco can offer. Down towards the square there's the Sultan's tomb, another enchanting place of the Moroccan heritage. Besides the architectural marvels, there are four clocks dedicated by The French king Louis XlV ROI soleil to the sultan, and so many other surprises to discover
