Mel is such a treasure. Her sweet demeanor. Inexplicably wearing odd shoes in the studio in a lot of episodes. Inexplicably taking the wax seals from every single task without fail (I'm trying to google theories to see what anyone knows... my best thought is she simply keeps them as sentimental keepsakes of the show, in a frame or box, but it would be cool if she reused them somehow)... Her sincere talent, with French, dance choreography, painting (I thought her painting was really cool and good), her genius approach to the camel task... she is so sweet and harmless and lovely but then she has these absolutely feral moments like smashing the cake instantly without a second thought and a strange silent inner rage, building that sandwich and then completely committing to taking a bite of it, touching every object just to sabotage the others without thinking of the consequences for herself... I love her so much

The thing that made me really fall for this show was when they had to make the most exotic sandwich, and Mel made her monstrous candy sandwich. After she got the next envelope saying that the scoring would be based on who could eat their sandwich the fastest, the look on her face of just "What in god's name have I done to myself" made me just die laughing And then when Alex told her that she didn't actually choreograph a dance to "Censure" too
