While going to watch a video, there was an ad basically doing an interview with Melanie, kind of. And I did watch the whole ad because I love her music and the points in the videos, but while doing the interview she said that the music was mostly based of things that usually happen in Kindergarten to 12th grade, ( k-12) Which definitely explains Pity Party where no one came to your party and your all alone with nothing to do, I really understand that perspective because for 6 birthday parties through the years I grew up, only one friend came to my party, I invited lots of my friends, one only ever came.... Usually everyone else went to another party which I found very disappointing. Edit: this was written by a kid 0-0

I’ve only ever had one birthday party with friends. All except for one showed up. I had a really good time. After they all left, my parents left too. They dropped me off at my Nana’s and that’s where I spent my actual birthday. This wasn’t the first time. On my 5th birthday my mom had to get a scan of some sort. I couldn’t be around her after the scan because she was radioactive. That birthday sucked. On my 9th birthday, it was just something to do with my dad’s job. It still sucked that they weren’t there though.
