I realize this is melee science but I want to point out that Hax in the last year became the best Twisted Fate (League of Legends) player in NA. Just to give perspective to his ability to be top 10 or 15 smash players and the best in NA on a very different game, really impressive player.

I don't think people appreciate how crazy hax was. When hax was at his peak the gods were far more ahead than they are now, and taking games/sets off them meant a lot more then than it does now, and that teir of people that includes people like west and plup did not exist until hax came around and started closing the gap between us and the gods.

Bruh I'm so proud of Tafo and his improvement at public speaking. Always loved his analysis and the way he broke the game down...but man was awkward at times lol. You can tell by his improved delivery at the end of statements and his slower deliberate pace throughout the whole thing. Way to go Tafo! Get a CRT tv, gamecube, and get Melee. Make sure you aren't using a beat-up gamecube controller. I would say at least try out every character before you settle on a main. The best way to do this is by unlocking everything in the game on solo imo. Once you've settled on a main, start practicing basic combos and tech such as wavedashing. There are plenty of how-to videos for that sort of thing. Then if you get to be the best in your group of friends, start going to tournaments. Get knocked out in pools, try not to cry, cry a lot, etc.
