Finally! Someone who's goes through each stage and tells me exactly what they do and why they're needed and what you actually need. I've been looking for this for months Thank you!

Here’s my full playlist. Lots of helpful information. Also, on my website I have a huge FAQ section that covers about 20 questions. kzbin.info/aero/PLMHh1mIdNsyIt-jVp6ekrdTwo5LqVNJIh&si=1DS6bKsH2Dsrr607

Your goin out of the last stage directly into the booster pump to the membrane correct? Just got a pump myself

The booster pump should be installed before the membrane. The output of the membrane goes to the DI, which is the final stage.

Everyone seems to stage their pre filters by size. Starting with a larger sediment, then stepping down in micron with their carbon. I had a local guy who sales commercial systems tell me that the sediment's sole job is to remove non-dissolved contaminates and is much better at it than a carbon block, so the sediment should be much smaller than your carbon block's micron rating. Per his suggestion, I started to run a 0.2 micron absolute sediment filter, than a 1 micron carbon, followed by a .5 micron carbon block, and once I switched from a 1 micron sediment, the life of my carbon blocks went thru the roof...It keeps the carbon from getting clogged prematurely, and allows them to do what they are designed to do...remove dissolved compounds...You should give one a try and see how if it extends the life of you carbon blocks.

As I explained, running the same size micron avoids clogging issues. However, I am curious how long you were able to “extend the life of the carbon block” since their primary reason is to protect the membrane from chlorine damage. They should be replaced every six months, like clockwork-If you are making about 30 gallons of water a week, that is.
