FasterEFT tapping is the only long term way to remove their addiction as it not only treats the bodys chemical addiction to drugs but removes the reason why they did drugs in the first place which is different for everyone, trauma, abuse, pain etc If your children are addicts pay for some sessions with a fasterEFT specialist either in person or online. It seems very strange but is unbelievably effective. Good luck

If these girls earn something like $300+ a day working the street for their drug habit, that’s like triple my salary. If they don’t save even a fraction of it because their addiction is so strong, I don’t know how much a stranger sending $20 will do to help. I think we know what it would probably be used toward. Like most Americans, I like to think I can sit here and send money from my comfy apartment and feel good about myself, but I’m afraid what these people really need more people like Tom who is physically there, getting to know them and providing actual support and an example of hope, and befriending them more than just selling them recovery. I fear that Sending her money or a phone when she probably earns more money a day than you do is not going to get her the help she needs, the problem is just much bigger than that.

LitGirlablaZe I agree, I’m not against sending someone money. Im sure I will end up sending some of these girls on these interviews some eventually myself. If I could even get someone a single meal or a night out of the elements it would be worth it. What I’m getting at is that it’s almost never going to be spent on that, because she has all the income she needs daily to go and get it and have plenty left over for drugs. If she can’t manage to save $50 at the expense of getting high just one or two less times a day, there is nothing special about the $50 in my wallet that will make her spend it differently. I fear that she will be in a strangers car several times a day regardless, and that I’m just helping her get high a few extra times than she could have otherwise.

They literally do as much drugs as they can (from what they all have said), so someone giving them money will add to their drug intake, but likely won't keep them out of a car.

So very sad, such a young lady. She definitely needs help. There are government phones for free. You can apply for them online, maybe a friend could help her to fill out the application. She needs to medically detox, then long term in house rehab. She's in my prayers. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

@@lilxbill4814, you can still get free government phones. Their not called "Obama phones", but THEY ARE free, and they are almost identical to the others, just a different company. As far as "Obama care", these girls /people wouldn't get that anyway... thats completely different . They would get Medicaid, and unlike Obama Care, that's actually free of charge and has been around in some form since The United States became "United States". So they can get both phones and medical for free. Thank no president for either when it comes to those things... they don't have a say in what people get up off their buttons and apply for. Government. Assistance will never go away, and right now it's bigger there's more available than there's ever been for people thT are broke, addicts, and street dwellers(etc.).

Yrs ago as a teen a smack addict told me to keep away from smack b/c if I love smoking weed I would love smack even more, so I have never touched anything else but weed and that is bad, I am sure Melissa wishes she NEVER touched drugs in the first place. She is right, you can't force anyone into recovery. You want to know why addicts lie? It's because average people will never understand the truth and will act in ways that makes a difficult life more difficult and emotionally traumatic. It's also because an addict doesn't want to be judged and doesn't want to hurt their loved ones. This isn't a judgement on the people that try intervention as most of the time they are trying to help. But the reality is that it doesn't. And the legal implications really don't help. Addiction is a psychosocial problem that needs unconditionally prescribed medication and therapy for the underlying issues when that person is ready. I speak from experience here. It took me 20 years before I was ready. If I had been left alone and not judged it probably would have been sooner.

Sad to hear these comments. At one time I was worse than her. Aug 31st I celebrated 11 years free from any illegal drugs. It’s when people lose hope and faith in someone, they lose it in themselves. If I made the change anyone is capable. It would be even sadder if she reads these.

I’ve dealt with her a few times. Someone I know lives in the hotel she works out of. Not bashing her because I know she’s obviously super messed up and as deep in addiction as possible, but you can’t lay a penny down around her. She also threatens to call the cops if people don’t give her drugs. Sadly someone is gonna get tired of that some day.

My mother in law just lost her daughter, they found her in a motel dead and the GBI still hasn’t released her body it’s been 3 weeks!! My heart goes out to these girls and there family!! Agreed. Although some may see it differently. I feel especially these girls that are out there alone with strange men in remote areas. Even if it only makes emergency calls, it could potentially save a life. Detroit is not a kind nor friendly atmosphere. You may find a friendly face or voice of reason every now and again, but besides that no one looks back or will think twice about hurting anyone. It's really sad that society has accepted this actually.

ALL of these girls are drug addicts, they are all doing the same thing as this girl. Some are better at playing “the game”, telling people what they want to hear, but are still self admitted drug addicts in active addiction. She’s no different than any of the other girls in the sense of her addiction. Perhaps a little more honest than some, doesn’t put on a good front, but that’s the only difference. If you are sending others money believing that it isn’t going for the same exact things or that they are trying to get clean at this very moment, you are being fooled & sending this particular girl money/items would be no different than sending to the others. If others were trying, they would be in a rehab facility or a safe place, many are available and until they decide to do that, they are not really ready. I am not trying to speak on weather or not sending money/items is right or wrong, or what anyone should or shouldn’t do. I am just pointing out that they ALL want money for drugs (& probably some other needed things too) they are all in active addiction doing the same things. It’s not nice to single this girl out. Makes me feel bad!

She needs to want to get that help. She said she earns 300-500 (?) a day and most goes to drugs. This is more than what I make. She can afford a phone with that money, she just chooses to get her fix. So I don’t think sending her money will help her, it will just fund her habits. I am sorry she is going through this, and I really hope she gets better and will realize the help she needs soon. She is just not ready to receive financial help yet. She needs a shower too, sure there’s a shower in the motel she’s staying at. Hope she stays safe.

Shes so upset with the friend and I totally get that but I'm sure it was just as hard for her to do that petition as it was for her to go to hospital. She probably did that with the intent that shes trying to save her life. Addiction doesnt only hurt the addict,its absolute torture for friends and family that love them. What I love most about Tom is that he is so unbiased in the opportunities he gives, but is a direct straight-shooter when you are being dishonest with him and the community. Tom could have easily judged this Melissa's interview, either through commentary or through comments / description, but he doesn't. This shows that Tom isn't in this for himself, or his own gain.. that his only purpose is to provide a connection between those who want to help (including himself) and the countless who are borderline destitute. I absolutely love that about this channel. It isn't just one type of voice that is heard crying out for help.. but any voice. I do feel that Melissa has some priorities in her mind that are a bit offset, but that does not mean those who are touched by her shouldn't help. I definitely wish her the best, maybe she will find a temporary grip of reality to get her back on the rails.

Im an alcoholic . A hardcore one as they would say.... i have cirrhosis and i went through severe DTs ended up in hospital many times. Giving money is not the answer for an addict i know because i know what i would do with it . NOBODY CAN HELP HER UNTIL SHE IS WILLING TO HELP HERSELF. Hi, I heard that she was brought to her dad's house and was turned away and the fam rejected her. I guess there's 2 sides. I can imagine it being tough, especially if little kids are involved and she could bring unsafe guys around if she stayed there. It sucks that she's not ready to get clean, if only she could get on something less dangerous like methadone and get off the streets. Do you know if she'd go to rehab if it was paid for or if she had the opportunity?

She wants money from people but she's staying at a hotel that she didnt even know how much it was so shes staying there but not contributing so that tells you where her money goes and she has place to stay but doesnt care enough to pay for it she just wants everybody else to pay for it for her. I just think about the girls he interviews that dont have a free hotel to go to. And they appreciate what they get. And they don't ask for a new phone on top of everything. 😒

I watch these videos regularly, and I pray for everyone on them, God bless their heart, I hope they continue to come across good hearted people such as yourself, to help them. So many of them have no family or friends, or they've turned their back on them, so it's hard for them to get ahead in life, when their starting with literally nothing. I hate the kinds of ppl who sit back and look badly upon them saying things like, get a job, get clean.....it is NOT that easy, obviously! They don't need judgment, they need advise, help, and love. They need a hand up, not a handout!

Look at the bruises on her. Anyone who facilitates this continuing is digging her grave. I worked at SACEK for years and facilitators were our number one enemy. It never failed that when “friends”, and especially family members would step in and facilitate the continuance of this behavior would un-do everything we gained with addicts. It was a vicious cycle that continued until they either were beaten to death, hit by a car or overdosed. When the money dries up, when the motel rooms dry up, when the so-called “friends” dry up, they would eventually seek the help and get out of the cycle. Get out or die. I eventually followed my boss into another line of work. I couldn’t watch these people slowly die any more.

Some people might not but guess what this girl isnt using willfully the drugs are so powerful that instead of living in a beautiful home in thousand oaks California with people that love me i am homeless in nj slamming dope in the same town my dad did in 94 before it killed him. I was only 4 and have no recollection of him but somehow it makes me feel a little cloaer to him. Using or not this is a human being that shouldnt have to live the way she is. The using shouldnt make a difference bc u know why there is no cure for addiction. And the only option they have which is the big book of alcoholics anonymous even says that most addicts and alcoholics will die from using. Most meaning the majority because they know that sht dont work for everyone and that it is near impossible to overcome. I have given up on trying to get clean n letting my family down every time i go back out. I told my mom the last time i got out that i know its going to break her heart but i am going to use and i thought it was best i keep it real with her so she can lower her expectations of me so when she gets that call from the coroner she isnt as surprised.

I almost lost my life because I was a severe alcoholic ,literally less than a year away from dying from it and my doctors told me point blank QUIT DRINKING AND LIVE OR KEEP DRINKING AND DIE ALONE WITHOUT EVEN A POT TO PISS IN ! I STRAIGHT UP QUIT AND HAVE BEEN SOBER FOR JUST OVER R YEARS NOW ! It breaks my heart to see this ESPECIALLY when I have a good friend ( kimmy) who is in the same boat as her ! It's sad when they value heroin more than their own family and best friend 😥 prayers sent out tomy best friend 🙏🙏🙏 and all battling ADDICTION

There are great free rehab centers . I’m from South Dakota and I found a great free 9 month one in Florida. This girl needs long term treatment . 30 day treatment is barely useful for this depraved state ... I was there, I know

Girl....I was on Heroin at one point. Went to rehab Didnt work. Everyone relapses when they come out. The thing that helped me out of this addiction was crank, glass

So she had a chance at rehab but refused. "Too forceful", she complains. Meantime, she wants someone to pay for her motel and give her money. NO THANKS. That is only abetting her addiction. One of My biggest fears (as a former addict) is giving money to a using addict. I know they legitimately need essentials. I also know that the addiction is so strong they'll take the drugs over the essentials 99 times out of 100. I think me being broke was the only thing that saved my life sometimes. I'm just afraid that the donations will be substantial, and this poor women will find herself with an endless supply of the drugs that will kill her the quickest. Morally, it's a tough spot, do you help if your help may kill the person???

This baby dont think shes chasing constantly I doubt she even sleeps until she literally passes out. I was her and I somehow was able to get sober long enough to see I was flirting with death and I was scared to death I was gonna miss something as I was learning to stay sober and that was gonna be the thing I needed to stay sober .I was so scared and I didn't know myself I thought if my room dont stay spotless I might get high .....if I'm 1 minute late to a meeting I might get high. I tried to keep my old sugar daddies in the beginning and Jesus told me that i couldn't do that because it could cause me to feel bad about myself and that would make me get high. So i was hyper vigilant but it was what was needed for me. Things just wreaked of death around me I knew if I kept living that way i was gonna die. I hope this girl has a moment of clarity like i did if i didn't have that i wouldn't be here today.
