Gosh, I’m 75 and the wisdom we have gained from living so long would fill a book, right…..maybe two! I think your most important tip was learning to love yourself! I’ve never been really good at this but I truly believe most of our real beauty comes from within. If we choose to believe in ourselves, forgive ourselves and encourage ourselves with kind words then we have achieved a loveliness that shines brightly in this old world!

I’m 72 and I’ve never done any cosmetic procedures. I’ve been interested in makeup since I was 12 or 13. I wasn’t into skin care as much because I didn’t realize how important it was. I never had skin problems, just the occasional huge zit during my period. I did tan up until about mid 30’s and I then developed an allergy to the sun. My advice to younger women is to take care of your skin & avoid the sun & wear sunscreen!! Great video.

Like you, I started wearing and learning about makeup at the age of 14, at first because of breakouts, too! The only foundation I could afford said, "with sunscreen," and I didn't even know what that meant at the time. I am over 70 now and my skin really shows the care I have taken to protect it all these years. And yes, I slept with my naturally curly hair set on soup cans when I was a teen! My mom would clean and save them for me. I wish all young people would realize the power they have over the aging of their skin and bodies. I think posture, staying busy and having a youthful attitude is even more important. #over60

I remember Tiger Beat Magazine, I remember songs from the 50’s, 60’s loved the 70’s, probably my favorite decade, music and different smells, or fragrances really bring back memories. I always thought that things would always get better as the years progressed. We always had filmstrips in school that said by the year 2000 we would have flying cars and it all looked so great and futuristic! Even though the future was not what we hoped it would be,I always feel optimistic that things can still change for the better as far as the future is concerned. Love conquers hate, happiness and bringing joy to the world through meditation and positive thought and helping others, can change the world.🌟☀️

I watch them, too, Annette, and I get encouraged watching them. I see vibrant, interesting women I can aspire to be. Love and thank you!

I love your tips, particularly the mental ones and exercise. There is only so much we can do to keep our genetics at bay, but we can all improve ourselves, just one little thing at a time. You, are such an inspiration to me, and, I just think that it’s wonderful that something like social media brought us together as online friends.

You look amazing! I am 68 and exercise and do light toning four tines a week. I think that one thing that ages us is thinning hair too. We just have to keep it moving and take care of ourselves. Coconut oil and Zena collagen are amazing products that I use and they work. Aging gracefully and naturally is a blessing!

You are right especially with the going forward. Yes, the thinning hair is challenging. Oh thank you for the hint on those products. Very grateful. Many thanks.!

Oh are you ever right! The thinning hair😢. If I only had Melissa’s gorgeous hair!

@@Melissa55 My hair was thinning so much in my fifties. Now 66 my hair is long thick and shiny. I stopped colouring my hair during covid and love my hair colour and the condition also improves without chemicals every 6 weeks. Then I started taking biotin three times a week and amino acids every day for increased protein. My nails, hair and skin are in much better condition. Hope this helps someone

Great tips! Thank you for sharing Melissa. I think most important of all is our mindset along with keeping our bodies moving and our brains active. I think our society focuses too much on the external instead of the internal although us ladies would all love to stay looking youthful, I strongly believe that when one feels happy and healthy, we radiate that out to the world and that energy is contagious 😍

Hello my gorgeous Melissa. I love that you are a spokesperson for women over 60. You are a natural beauty, inside and out. Oh yes, the jaw dropping. I remember all of the advice in Seventeen magazine. Interesting. My skin is so dry, that I have to use a moisturizer in my daily and nightly routine. All of our skins react differently. Accepting myself I'd a hard one for me. I'm my own worst critic. Like you, Tretinoin has been the most helpful in maintaining good skin. SPF is an absolute must, no matter what the weather. Eating veggies and fruits, and for me, eating a vegan diet. Thank you for such incredible advice. I just love you to pieces. ❤❤🥰💞
