I am turning 38 years his year, and were actually very fit- doing Crossfit. However after having to children within 3 years in my early 30's, and massive weight gain in each pregnancy (because I was binging) I now am out of shape and a bit overweight. I did lose 31 kg! but I still carry excess weight, specially in hip, belly and thigh area.. It disturbs me, and I really want to return to who I was before :) I do train HIIT 4-5 times a week, and lift heavy 2 times a week. But it seems like not much is moving :( I did realize though that I drank way too much alcohol over the last year, so I am cutting that out. Your videos are so inspiring! Thank you :)
@MelissaNeill4 жыл бұрын
Hi Bianca thank you for your message. That's great you are really trying hard to get in shape and please keep going it sounds like you are doing really well. And well done for giving up alcohol that makes a huge difference. I haven't had a drink since December 2018 and that was one small one! You will not miss it and you will feel so much better. It sounds like you are doing a great deal but I wonder whether you are being consistent? It's hard to tell by your message. I would recommend increasing your strength training which you can still do during quarantine to 4 times a week and if that makes your HIIT not do-able then reduce that. Also you really need to pay careful attention to your diet. You may want to download my FREE diet plan www.melissaneill.com/get-your-free-meal-plan/ to give you an idea and it needs to be consistent over time. It's better to have higher calories and stick to them than go really low and fall off the wagon (I have done all that!). Keep up the good work Bianca!
@elfe19824 жыл бұрын
@@MelissaNeill Thank you so much for your message :) I have been consistent in my training for the last 2 -3 weeks, and will keep going! I need to cut out sugar, and processed foods plus go higher with the calories.. so thank you for the reminder! I will download your mealplan. Have a beautiful day

Melissa, thank you so much. I downloaded an food tracking app called lifesum, where you can choose high protein , and i checked it out with your links, it is about right. I started with light sports (bum tums legs) and Power yoga the time the corona crisis started. The result: I gained 2 KG and was really frustrated.But due my clothes are not tighter, i think i might be ok. My goal at the end is , of course, to look like you :D! Could you maybe make a video for what to do during quarantine, or sports without weights?
@MelissaNeill4 жыл бұрын
Hi Angie well done it sounds like you are on the right track! You are right not to focus too much on scale weight. I gain 2-3k at certain times of the month. Take photos & measurements to track your progress. I have created a video about how to exercise and stay on track during quarantine here is the link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3LNaIZun8acpq8 Also It took me years to get like this but that is partly because at first I was doing the wrong things! You might want to check out my Instagram I have useful info I post there: instagram.com/msmelissaneill/

I assume that as I hit a plateau or lose weight I would need to adjust my calorie intake, even more until I reach my goal?
@MelissaNeill4 жыл бұрын
Yes or you can take a diet break. So that's taking your calories back up to maintenance for a week or 2 then dropping down to a deficit after. The research shows this is extremely effective. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aX-ygWSHic6cn9U

Hi Michelle I have at least one protein supplement - protein powder - but I don't like the shakes so I mix in with other food and because I am very active I am quite hungry so I never feel I have to force food down! :-) If you would like to understand how I fit my protein in you can watch my video what I eat in a day kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZOmn3aVmcyBo9U

I think you have to shift your idea of food .. the purpose of food… food is to sustain life… not for pleasure, entertainment, and counsel… etc.
