I think my brother somehow got the Japanese OST, so I'm more used to this version than the English one, lol. Even though the English video (with the AMV/GMV) has like 17mil views, and such sentimental comments. (why are all the comments only about how to sing this? o_o;)

I find once you know the tune of the song, and how the letters are supposed to sound, it’s a little easier to sing the song in a foreign language

i think the english in the video is a literal translation of the japanese song. But the english version of the song is different... coz well you have to make rhyme and all these sort of thing @_@

If you listen to the ff8 eyes on me jpn version it's also different~ the English feels like it takes more about Laguna and Julia ... The jpn version is more about squall and rinoa~ Also once you actually start to learn some Japanese at around n3 level you'll notice the subtitles aren't exactly the same as what they say but the context is there to make it more sensible~
