The writers of "Manboy" was Peter Boström and Fredrik Kempe. Boström also co-wrote "Euphoria", Alcazar´s "Headlines", Sanna Nielsen´s "I´m In Love", Mariette´s "A Million Years", Ace Wilder´s "Wild Child" and Danny Saucedo´s "Amazing" and "In the Club" to name a few. He has co-written 21 Melodifestivalen entries. Fredrik Kempe has co-written 33 Melodifestivalen entries, like for instance Charlotte Perelli´s "Hero", Malena Ernman´s "La Voix", Eric Saade´s "Popular", Sanna Nielsen´s "Undo", Sarah Dawn Finer´s "Moving On", Alcazar´s "Blame it on the Disco" and Måns Zelmerlöw's "Cara Mia". Eric Saade came 3rd in 2010 after Anna Bergendahl and Salem Al Fakir. He came 2nd in the televotes. But he got less juryvotes.

Honestly, I didn’t like Anna’s song in 2010, therefore I much prefer this. You know I like these pop cheesy songs with questionable lyrics 😂 I was actually really disappointed Anna won back then (but I like her latest entries she competed with), because 2010 is one of my favorite Melfests, where I was rooting for 5 other songs to win haha 😁. I adore Darin’s song “You’re out of my life” because of the heartbreaking message (loosing someone suddenly before you can say you’re sorry). I also really loved Salem Al Fakir’s song “Keep on walking”, Timoteij “Kom” (great Swedish folk-ish banger), Ola Svensson’s “Unstoppable (another great up-tempo song) and this one (Manboy), because it’s the type of cheesy pop songs that I like 😊 So yeah, here are a few of my suggestions to choose from for next Melfest reaction(s) 😊

While I adore Anna Bergendahl, I think Eric Saade might be more up my alley (shoutout to "Sting" - his best MelFest entry in my opinion). However, I can't watch anything from Melodifestivalen 2010 without mentioning the runner up. I've already kinda praised it by putting it in that masterlist of top notch runner ups I did, but I really can't stress enough how scandalized people were that Anna Bergendahl won over Salem Al Fakir's "Keep on walking" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGO8q4aXbM6ig8k). Going into the finals, he was the clear front runner. Like, afterwards, I even remember Facebook pages dedicated to protesting poor Anna's win. It's a miracle she came out of that whole experience as well as she did. Also, gotta mention that her comeback entries in both 2019 and 2020 are A+++. They're "Ashes to ashes" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZnalYeFnN6Ao7M) and "Kingdom Come" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3ypmWSAq7OHgbM), in case you're ever curious. I absolutely don't expect you to react to every single one of my ridiculous amount of combined links. 😂

You should react to Sabina Ddumba's remake of Manboy, she did it live in front of him and it is amazing..even though it was not in Melodifestivalen it is worth watching because it really outdid the original haha :)

I've got another request : if you like catchy summer-vibe songs, you should check out Spain 2003 (Beth - Dime.) The singer's voice was out-of-tune a few times at the end, but I love it anyway. Spain 2007 (I love you mi vida by D'nash) is my second favourite Spanish entry and it's worth watching as well.

And as far as non Melfest songs to react, I have a few EMAs suggestions, you can choose from 😊 - Saša Lendero - Mandoline (2006): she actually won the OGAE Second Chance contest with this song - And basically anything from Raiven: Črno bel (2016) or Zažarim (2017).
