This song finished in second place. And the year after, in 2012 when Loreen won, Danny finished second again with the song "Amazing." I remember him being extremely disappointed about being the runner-up two consecutive years. He hasn't participated in Melodifestivalen since, but he still produces music, mainly in Swedish nowadays. I've never commented on any of your videos before, but I just want to say I really appreciate your reactions :)

Well thank you so much! I’ve really enjoyed getting into Melfest little by little because of them. It’s just never been a NF I’ve followed but seeing some of the songs 👀, I can get down lol 😂

I suggest that you watch one of those fan made Melodifestivalen compilations, where you get to hear short snippets of each songs and write down the ones you want to react to the whole versions of. This was the runner up. Melodifestivalen is decided by both televotes and international juries. It was pretty close in the jury points between the two of them, Erik Saade got 81 p and Danny Saucedo got 79p. Erik Saade´s jurypoints: 12p from UK, France and Malta. 10 p from Ukraine and Ireland. 8p from Greece and Croatia. 4 p from Russia. 2 p from Norway and 1 p from San Marino. Danny Saucedo´s jurypoints: 12p from Germany, 10 p from Russia, France, Greece and Malta, 6p from Ireland, Norway and San Marino, 4 p from Ukraine and Croatia and 1 p from UK. Erik Saade got a lot more of the Swedish televotes though, 23,7% and Danny Saucedo got 14,9 %. In total Erik Saade got 193 p and Danny 149 p.

That’s smart, I’ll have to do that and combine them with the list of Melfest requests I’ve received!

@@JordanDavisEurovision I recommend "Melodifestivalen 2010 - 2018. My Top 100" on Karl Compton´s channel. It´s of course too long to react to on it´s own, but I think it would be good as "research" material, to get a small sample of a lot of songs, that you then can take some notes on which ones you would like to react to.

You should react to Loreen "My Heart Is Refuseing Me" from Melodifestivalen 2011

Your eurovision and Melfest reaction videos are really good. This is some of my favourite moments from melfest at least! This is an interval act from melodifestivalen 2016, a medley with songs from melodifestivalen: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5-ao5uEnMp1rtk An other interval act from 2019. The hosts do a mashup of eurovision songs from israel (after Netta won): kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5eulGeLn9SDpMU Some other song from melodifestivalen is: Loreen- My heart is refusing me (2011) Danny- Amazing (2012) Måns Zelmerlöw- Cara mia (2007) YOHIO- Heartbreak hotel (2013) Oscar Zia- Human (2016)

Some top notch Melodifestivalen runner ups (with links) off the top of my head: - "Jag är fri", Jon Henrik Fjällgren (runner up 2015). kzbin.info/www/bejne/aaXJp4ljarykatk - "Bulletproof", Dotter (runner up 2020). kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHWriqyBiJqNZs0 - "Human", Oscar Zia (runner up 2016). kzbin.info/www/bejne/bp_Kh5Wens17iZo - "Keep on walking", Salem Al Fakir (runner up 2010). kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGO8q4aXbM6ig8k - "Every single day", Felix Sandman (runner up 2018). kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5iVYWipbr-FodU - "Temple of love", BWO (runner up 2006). kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHqseKp_e5pqpZI - "Busy doing nothing", Ace Wilder (runner up 2014). kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5unapd_o8aXsLc - "Hold on", Nano (runner up 2017). kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWGogZaflJ18bqc Honestly, most years in MelFest the runner up is just as good, if not better, than the winner. Personally, I think I rooted for nearly all of these songs to actually win that year.

Melfest is really high level, even many songs that don't qualify to the final or the second round are amazingly produced and performed. Here are some of my requests: Molly Pettersson Hammar "I'll be fine" kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJbaZGeCfcZ-sK8 Emmi Christensson "Icarus" kzbin.info/www/bejne/eabIhqhnp56pmdU Shirley's Angels "I thought it was forever" kzbin.info/www/bejne/baSWZ4htgbl9iaM Linda Pritchard "Alive" kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHq3paR6rd2pe9E (you will have to skip the intro on this) Timoteij "Stormande hav" and "Kom" kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZpmzpoClZpaZnqs kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4S1o6xsfbZoatk

This is one of the best Melfest songs ever for me. I was so dissapointed because he haven't won, especially because I really don't like Popular, although it came 2nd in ESC. I have this one in my playlist even today...

Hehe, we have convinced you to look at Danny… and his music 😉 😂 Well lyrics are somewhere on the level of Popular, but sometimes you have to look away and just enjoy a good banger 😏 But yeah, both songs are similar in style and I like both of them :)
