Really enjoyed your playing! ✨ I have the Spark Amp and bought the Hendrix upgrade. So much fun. I can’t play like you, but even a beginner can have fun with these new tones.

I've had Bias FX and Bias amp on my iPad for almost 4 years now. Since I got those I rarely use my hand-built 50's Fender Pro clone tube amp any more. The convenience + the amazing sound just make it so much easier. I run into the iPad using an iRig HD2 interface, which I can also connect to my computers with a different cable. On the computers I have tried out Guitar Rig and Amplitube. I like both but the most recent Amplitube has some features that I like better than Guitar Rig, mainly the "rooms" and miking capabilities. Bias FX to me has better sounding amps & effects than Amplitube but I can make up the difference using room sounds and miking techniques. I can get great-sounding results from either. Given that Bias is on my iPad I would tend to use it more for live playing. That said I'm planning some recording projects that I will import to the iPad so I can use Bias FX. I particularly love the Orange amps, the Silver Jubilee Marshalls (I sold those actual amps as a retailer back in the day) and the Matchless clean amps in Bias. For pedals I'm almost always using the Klon clone for gain (I use it mostly as a booster), the slapback delay, Tremolo, the '60 Reverb (dialed way down to the smallest room possible) and the EQ. I tend to mic in Bias using the Royer Ribbon clone & the SM57 clone, both generally fairly close to the speaker about halfway out of the cone. I've recorded with similar *real* chains in the past so I know what it ought to sound like. I've also recorded using these plugins and fooled friends who are Guitarists/recording engineers, etc. who were amazed to find I used plugins rather than the real thing. I think we've finally reached the singularity, amp sim-wise!

I’m gonna try using it live through my iPad, that might be cool, especially for solo gigs. Thanks!

@@MelodyAngelTV Nice! I'll be interested to hear how that turns out for you. It sure sounds great through your home rig. I run my Bias FX/iRig/iPad through a JBL Eon 160-watt monitor amp/speaker rather than a Guitar amp, as I think it sounds better using Bias FX's speaker cabinet sims through a full-range amp/speaker than it would going through a Guitar amp. I put the big EQ unit at the end of the chain in Bias FX, after the speaker cabinet, so I can roll off some highs if necessary & tailor the low end a bit as the 10" speaker in the Eon is pretty Bassy. Having that EQ just before the output is good if you're just going to walk into a club & use their PA & monitors as your only output (as you might in a solo gig situation). I also have a big old Behringer MIDI pedal board (FCB1010) for which I bought a bluetooth MIDI connector so I can bluetooth it to the iPad & change effects and/or patches in Bias FX wirelessly. It will even do volume & wah, though not ideal through bluetooth (a bit of latency). I'd love to get something smaller than the FCB1010 though; part of what's great about Bias FX is not having to lug around a pedal board. The older I get the less I want to carry around heavy gear! Have you used ToneCloud in Bias FX? I've uploaded a couple of my favorite chains, which can be found under my own name. They're called SilverMarshall4Strat & Juice4SemiHollow. If you have uploaded any of your own let me know how to find them, I'd love to check them out!
