@@vincepetrovic8700 Mick Jagger (and Keith Richards) know a good guitarist when they hear one. Mick Taylor was good for the time he was in the Stones but, due to his limited style of playing, he wasn't a guitarist that the Stones could go forward with. Maybe you don't like ANY of the music the Stones have produced since they got rid of Mick Taylor, but that might just be an indication of YOUR limited perspective with regards to music.

My dormitory and class mate from School told me that he thinks the Rolling Stones were the best with Mick Taylor, his favourite Stones era. That was in response to me telling him that Mick Taylor grew up in the same street as me, in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. And he should know as he became the Boss of Parlophone after Sir George Martin.

I have many guitar heroes. The ones I wish I could play like are Mick Taylor and Jeff Beck. If I think about it enough, I would love to have the ear and taste Mick Taylor would be the best of the bunch. Jeff Beck is so creative, but Mick plays so damn nice it hurts. He never misses a note. It all sounds perfect. Mark Knopfler also is great but Mick is a virtuoso without the flash. It's just where it's supposed to be. He is not overplaying ever. All the other examples of Guitar Gods do that about half of the time. It's just basic stuff and making good choices. He does it ALL THE TIME. His style in my mind is based on perfect pitch and timing and phasing. His tempo seems perfect too. If you listen to others performing his songs no matter, who does it is a huge letdown. To say I am a fan or admirer is not doing him justice. And nobody knows who he is. There is hope for all the great people out there that don’t get heard.

Mick is a true master. His playing is so spot on, economical and passionate. Guess the Stones prefer to have a poser rather than a true artist.

Hey he left of his own accord over songwriting credits. He probably did deserve credit on a bunch of stuff. But he left.

The Stones couldn't have continued with Taylor's limited playing style.

Listen to early Faces and Rod Stewart Ronnie Wood is no poser he is the real deal. MT just doesn’t have that big ego required to make it in the Stones. It lasted a good few years and was great while it lasted.

Su baterista y guitarrista favorito, un bajo y teclado soberbios, un Mick Taylor inspirado como pocas veces se tiene oportunidad de ver y escucharlo. +tr!!!

Amazing guitarist. Not the best singer in the world, but you can't have everything.
