In this video, Rich looks at using Melodyne to place sounds in a mix. First he discusses what problems we are facing when trying to blend an acoustic guitar in a mix. He demonstrates the usefulness of the Attack Speed Tool to change the attack portion of the guitar’s envelope. He then uses the Fade Tool to shape the decay times of all notes. Finally, Rich uses the Formant tool to be able to place the pick attack in the mix independently from the instrument’s body.
Please note: All the functions used by Rich in this video you will find in Melodyne assistant, Melodyne editor and Melodyne studio.
